Patrick Patterson/Jai Lucas rumor

Featured Replies

Boggan is only listed at 235 lbs.

Al Horford is 245 lbs.

The Legend is 240 lbs.

They all do pretty well in the post.

The more I think about it, the more I think that he will be fine. I'm sure what ever college program he attends will have a greater influence on his diet, lifting, etc. He'll probably gain a view lbs. by default.

Bogan is listed at 240....but he is certainly heavier than that..Horfor is 245, but is hardly a back to the basket player (you could've won more with Noah)...and we all know that McRoberts would much rather play with his front to the basket..

Patterson didn't have much of a game against St. Patrick. When he got the rebound with a couple of seconds left, he sure didn't look for a shot. He was looking to get rid of the ball to Mayo as quickly as possible. If he is as good as some on BGP like to think, I would think he would have been looking for a close in shot to tie the score. He clearly was not doing so. He didn't even take a look at the basket. He didn't want to take that last shot. He expected Mayo to bail them out.

If you watched the game, it should be obvious to you that Mayo carried HHS. He took over in the second half and kept them in the game with very little help from anyone else- including Patterson.

Mayo is the primetimer and his performance against St. Patrick proved it. Patterson was merely a member of the cast.

Patterson is not merely a member of the cast. Patterson passed the ball off to the best player in the nation to take the game winning shot (who also had 47 points at this time). Patterson did the right thing and showed a huge inside presence. Recording a double double against the # 1 team in the nation is a nice accomplishment. Patterson and Lucas should be thrilled to be in this situation. They have the opportunity to build back one of the nations greatest basketball programs of all time. Lucas and Patterson has the potential to come into a struggling UK program, and have immediate playing time. Lucas is a excellent point guard who plays with tremendous heart. Patterson is already loved by the UK fans, and the electricity is in the air every time Patterson steps on the court. I believe both Patterson and Lucas will sign with the cats. It is a no lose situation for both recruits. Patterson, Lucas, Meeks, Stevenson, Jasper, Stewart, Crawford, Morris, Bradley. I don't think Tubby does bad recruiting if he can land these 2 guys. :ylsuper:

Were splitting hairs between 240 and 235 but....

Mario Boggan

#4 Mario Boggan | F-C

Full Name: Mario Boggan

Birth Place: Durham, NC

Height: 6-7

Weight: 235 lbs. Position: Forward/Center

Class: Senior

PPG 20.3 | APG 1.5 | RPG 8.0

BTW, Coach K should be fired for passing over the hometown kid. Duke would probably be top 5 right now if he was on the roster. :D

Don't think either of these players will be at UK next season unless they are playing aginst them. Think Patterson will go to UF.

Patterson says he is waiting to see if Tubby will be there supposedly. Someone said that I believe. Or could it be he is waiting to see what the word is on Horford and Noah entering the draft?

That's a possibility as well, but he was quoted in an interview earlier this year saying he has been informed, or he knew what players would be returning at each school. I think it has more to do with the coach than anything. If he is waiting on UF, I would venture it's to see if Billy D is there next season.

Well, I have done a ton of searches...and can't find any realistic quotes form him since HH lost to Scott County.

I hope Patterson goes to Duke.

what did he say after the SC game???

If it's not posted here, I generally am skeptic, BGP is far and away the most accurate, and reponsive to these sort of things.

Sweet!!!!!

what did he say after the SC game???

That he loved Lexington and UK

Isn't Patterson from Kentucky?

I don't think so...

I hope UK makes the best decision for the program and is not held hostage by a couple of high school players.

Agreed :thumb:

A couple that MIGHT come to UK.

Whenever you make a change in the head coach -it will always have some effect on recruits. The real question is --what will be the effect on future recruits if things contine as they are.
