Who's the better Student Section Cov Cath or Ashland?

Featured Replies

I think everybody has forgot about the tradition of the Ashland student section dating back to the early 20th century. Also I think they have won a national title, therefore they are clearly the best.

Is Cov Cath all male? If so, I assume they do not have cheerleaders. It seems that the cheerleaders now are more interested in performing than leading cheers for the students. I applaud Cov Catholic for their student led cheering section. I would love to see a place for cheerleaders who lead cheers and a different venue for those who want to perform.

Cov Cath I mean they broke the bleachers cheering the other night.

This has happened on many occasions. Not to blame their antics, but the number of studentst that show up and how intense they get will break today's bleachers.

I thought this thread was a joke. How could anyone come close to the Cov Cath student section. They got mentioned by Brigid last year at the Sweet Sixteen. Has Ashland had this honor?

No.

Can't argue with that, Ashlands student section is very energetic. If they come up with some original material they may one day be able to give CovCath a run for their money, but not anywhere close to their level as of right now.

The material Ashland uses is the exact same stuff Cov Cath has been doing for a while. Ashland's section has been great since about midway through the season.

This isn't even close, it's COV CATH in a landslide. Ashland's section was out done by Russell's tonight at Anderson. They had a contest which I think ended in a draw but I thought Russell's had the thing won. Maybe because they had things to cheer about and Ashland's section didn't have much to cheer about in the second half. I'm not being sarcastic, I think that was the case. But the answer to this thread is definately COV CATH. NO doubt about it, they are the best in the state and maybe the nation.

Cov Cath has set a president that will not be overcome IMO.....

The fact that Ashland has followed suit is a credit to CCH.

After witnessing them in action again live tonight, NO ONE is in CovCath's league in the state!!

Cov Cath in a landslide.

And that is my answer to this same thread that will be started next week.....

And the next week.....

And the next week....

You get the picture.

covcath is the best.

COV CATH with a capital C

I hope CovCath is better, i mean they have over twice as many guys as Ashland does thats an advantage that cant be overcome. I'd say Ashland is one of if not the best public student sections in the state.

So you're saying males make better student section members than females ?

Oh no!!! Now the Private schools have an advantage over the public schools in cheering too? Oh gee, they just found out, we "R" for students to cheer too.....

You know, when you make a statement you should check your facts first...

From your own High School Report Card

http://www.ashland.k12.ky.us/achievement/ReportCard/Blazer%20Report%20Card%20Printout.mht School Enrollment: 922

From the Diocese of Covington web page: http://home.catholicweb.com/covingtoneducation/index.cfm/NewsItem?ID=84530&From=Home School Enrollment: 510

So now if we take half the number of students from last years enrollment from Ashland 922 div by 2 = 461 and subtract this years enrollment figures from CovCath 510 (-) 461 that equals a huge 49 boys difference. 49 boys give or take a couple, is a little less than twice the number that you said CovCath had over Ashland......

How big did you think CovCath was?
