February 21, 200719 yr This game does nothing to change my opinion that the program is heading in the wrong direction. I thought it at the 2 years ago, felt it stronger at the beginning of last year. You may remember that I caught a lot of flack for starting a thread questioning the programs direction. IMHO, its time for a change. Not just for UK's sake but also for Tubby. All I am saying is most the bashers won't even post in a thread about a win. I saw your post.:thumb:
February 21, 200719 yr It certainly was not!!!! I might have defended him for nothing else but I don't recall me defending anything Wildcat in the last few days. Reread the thread and it was me and you debating with UKMustangFan who had said Crawford disappearing in games was not the problem.
February 21, 200719 yr Actually UK would have had the ball anyway on the turnover. Assuming that Meeks scores on that possession anyway the only real gain was the two free throws and hurting Brady's feelings. It was a swing in momentum and most of this is "ifs and buts". Bottom line is LSU or anyone else cannot blame a loss on a technical foul in the first half. They had the entire second half to make up for it and did not. :fight: Actually Brady complained of a foul which was not called and ten seconds was. If the foul is called LSU keeps the ball and starts over and maybe scores. As it turns out UK gets the ball, they score a bunch of points with little time running off the clock. As I stated before, it wasn't the reason for the loss. UK outplayed LSU when it mattered. I would say that it was a turning point though.
February 21, 200719 yr I was very disappointed early in the game. Effort, boxing out, cutting and no enthusiasm. Disappointing early but nonetheless, a win. :thumb: :thumb: Excatly what I was thinking, everyone gripes aboput the talent level but imo it doesn't take talent to play defense, rebound and execute. Just hustle and desire.

February 21, 200719 yr It was a factor but not the reason LSU lost. LSU player gets fouled (in Brady's opinion) and UK takes the ball and scores. Brady gets the T. Meeks makes the FT. UK gets the ball after the T and Morris scores. If you assume that LSU could have scored on the initial possession its a 7 point turn around in a matter of seconds. Of course LSU folded and UK did have to score so it didn't have to work out that way, but it did and I'd say that was the real turning point in the game. FYI, LSU lost by 7 not 10. Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought Meeks hit a 3.

It's that people will go on claiming to be fans and bash their little hearts out. Then they win and they don't say anything at all, nothing. Granted I wouldn't call this a "good" win but it was a win none the less. There were a few positives in this game. Just seems funny to me you are there to complaim about "your team" ( I don't mean you) but when they win you don't have anything to say.
