February 21, 200719 yr Excessive verbage? He was sitting not showing up he official..... Before that, he hadn't sat down for more than a couple seconds, and he complained loudly — with expletive emphasis — on the 10-second call right before he got the T (despite the fact that the shot clock read 24 when the whistle blew). He spent a good part of the first half out near the three-point line barking out instructions, despite a couple of warnings. He earned that T.
February 21, 200719 yr W/re to Crawford — he did play pretty solid defense, despite not scoring until the 2:15 to go mark. Plus, his points couldn't have come at a more clutch time. Two assists, four rebounds, a blocked shot and only one turnover. If I'm a Wildcat fan, I'm far more concerned about how Jasper seems to be a ghost on the court. Why he didn't take that shot from about eight feet out when he had it is beyond me. He didn't even look at the bucket, and seems to be scared to shoot.

I figured the more Jasper played the more he would look at the basket but it seems that he looks at the basket even less now than earlier in the year. He is a very good player to have out there especially when we push tempo but as LABS said, he can be a liability in the halfcourt.

Also, good with his long arms on the defensive end and in regards to rebounding. But right in that he needs to develop an offensive game. I wonder if in the future (after Morris) whether we won't see Jasper posting like Prince did. I wouldn't mind seeing Tubby post Jasper instead of Woo/Thomas when Morris is in foul trouble.

I heard Tubby mention that on an interview before the game mentioning the open look that Jasper knocked down in the game before and the didn't shoot again.

Morris already draws a lot of double-teams on his own, but now that teams have figured out that Jasper won't shoot, Morris now sees a lot of triple-teams in the post. If Jasper doesn't start shooting more, Morris is going to start looking even more sleepy-eyed than he already does from being beat up so much in the post.

And that is why I been saying we HAVE to put Bradley back at the point and put Meeks in the lineup. Yeah Bradley is going to do some things that will just seem dumb and make us very angry, but there would also but alot of postives to come out of it, and one of them is scoring more points which probably could lead to more wins..

February 22, 200719 yr He can be a liability in the halfcourt but I certainly don't think starting Bradley at the point is the answer. Well the thing I think they need to do is play um tempo and this way Jasper would be at his best then. But since we play slow down half court most of the time Jasper is a COMPLETE liability on the offensive end. I know as I said Bradley is going to do some things that is going to make us say that was the worst decision I have ever seen, but he is also going to do alot of good things too. With Bradley you got to take the Pros with the Cons, and most games there would be more Pros than cons because we are going to most likely score more points with a lineup of Bradley at point and Meeks in. But there will be some games that he might cost us, but right now Jasper is costing us some games by him being a liability on the offensive end, because we go 3 on 5 and if those guys are cold then we get down 16 like we have been...

This is the problem with UK now; um tempo which is way too slow.
