Both teams received/did not receive their share of horrible calls. In that respect, they stayed consistent and therefore the officiating was good. :lol:

I can't see what would've happened had it not been called, but you can't say with any amount of certainty that UK loses the game if you take the T away.
February 21, 200719 yr I was at the game tonight and UK didnt look good at all. Morris is LAZY and he will never amount to anything in the NBA even though he does somehow get 18 points a game. Meeks was our best player out there tonight hands down. UK needs to wake up and smell the roses! Its almost tourney time! And if they dont look out for another early exit! February 21, 200719 yr Jodie Meeks was really impressive. Randolph Morris played with a purpose and that purpose was to make himself draftable. This is it for Morris at UK he will be in the NBA next year. As for the officiating I thought UK got a really good whistle last night. Did it win the the game? No but it sure did not hurt either. Just call it the home court advantage.
February 21, 200719 yr I know you're an LSU fan, so I figured you've seen them more than most on here.....Was it just me or did they seem to play more as a team tonight than they have with Big Baby on the floor? The announcers kept saying that they were better without him. I for one thought that was the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. They might have played better as a team, but your best player not being there can't be good. Ugly game and terrible officials. A lot of no calls on layups and guys attempting to take charges. The "block" on Bradley in the final seconds was an assault charge, the "charge" Meeks took where they called a block was textbook defense, and on Morris' 1000 point Bradley stripped the guy of the ball by coming across his wrists. The T???????????????? I'm not sure what that was, but it made for a great half time question/reaction. Who asks that anyway? Crawford showed up in Lexington 2 hours after the tip. Morris played good against a 180 pound center. (Better without Davis?) Meeks played VERY GOOD and it's a good thing.

It was a factor but not the reason LSU lost. LSU player gets fouled (in Brady's opinion) and UK takes the ball and scores. Brady gets the T. Meeks makes the FT. UK gets the ball after the T and Morris scores. If you assume that LSU could have scored on the initial possession its a 7 point turn around in a matter of seconds. Of course LSU folded and UK did have to score so it didn't have to work out that way, but it did and I'd say that was the real turning point in the game. FYI, LSU lost by 7 not 10.

At first everybody steps up their game to pick up the slack. But in the end the Tigers ran out of gas and into foul trouble. I don't think the Tigers would have won even with Davis, but I don't think Morris would have been able to have the game he did if he had to check Davis all night. I sure would have liked to have had Davis late in the game when things got tight.
February 21, 200719 yr UK is going in as a dreadful 7, IMO. If they go in as a 7 at least they will dodge the #1 in the second round.
