No, you're thinking of Highlands.

Lloyd is one of the top ten schools in the state. At least thats what the KATS testing shows.

It will be interesting to see if Lloyd benefits from a sudden increase in transfers into their district with the hiring of Yeagle.

And I hear tuition is free!

The out of district kids did go to Beechwood for the academics, no way did they go there to play for Yeagle:sssh:

If I remember right, Coach Yeagle took over a very successful program at Beechwood and built on that success quickly. At Lloyd, it may take a while longer to get to the top...but if he can get the kids out of the halls and on to the field...Erlanger will be full of Juggs jerseys on every kid from birth to death...just like Ft Mitchell.

Great coaches with no talent will win very few games.

Poor coaches with great talent will win more games in spite of the bad coaching.

Talent trumps coaching more often than not.

I would like to see Lloyd start to give beechwoods game with Yeagle coaching. Hopefully things work out.

A great coach will get kids to work hard even when they aren't the most talented or best athletes... and "Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard"... I dont believe that a poor coach could get whatever great talent they may have to work hard.

Not when it comes down to rings.....the City of Louisville is a tell tale sign of that year in and year out.

It's not the talent coming in, but the talent devloped while their. That is based on two things: 1. the coaching recieved by the individual. 2. the heart, soul, and work ethic of the individual. The prestige of the program only helps bring it out a lot quicker in a larger amount of kids.

Really?

So Beatty coaching Atherton and they are suddenly state champs?

^ No...but Ballard, with Beatty would be the state's best team in 1-2 years.

So Ballard has no talent?

I said great coaches with no talent win very few games and you took exception to that.

^ You also said that talent trumps coaching, and that is not necessarily the case....we often beat teams more talented than us...sometimes quite handily as well.
