District play begins for both of these teams Friday night, as Scott County travels to play Collins in what should be a good matchup.

Scott County comes off a forfeited game to Madison Central with a final score of 7-3. We didn't see much football, but from what we did see I thought our offense looked as expected outside of a bad drop, and a few dumb penalties.

Defensively, we looked subpar yet again. Tackling was an issue early vs the Indians.

Collins comes in off a lashing of Meade County 63-14, with Mr. Kentucky candidate Kade Goodin accounting for 8 TDs!! Insane performance from him and that aerial attack they have over there.

Scott County has handled Collins with relative ease since they've been in a district together. Will that change Friday?

This game is a very interesting one to me. I think the Cards win, but Collins just needs to get one or two stops. I do not see SC being able to stop Goodin and the passing attack Friday night.

I'll take Scott County.

This could be the wildest game we see all year. Both defenses are suspect. The scoreboard operator may need a backup in case the starter needs a breather.

Goodin didn't play against Scott County last year. This is one of those rare occasions where I think one player may be enough to make up that much ground.

I'm picking the Cardinals, but I can easily see Goodin going ham and making Scott County sweat it out in the 4Q. He's about as dialed in as you can get right now.

I'll go with Scott County winning in a shoot out.

Scott County pounds the ball on the ground and wins in a high scoring affair. Goodin is the truth, but Collins won't stop Scott County.

Hopefully lightning doesn't strike twice. Scott County can't afford another forefeit.

If you love high powered offenses this is the game for you.

First team to get a stop wins.

SC handles Collins 63-28. I think SC will have no problem scoring, and the defense will have an easier time facing an aerial first time over a run first team.

I am expecting Scott County to rock and roll.

I'm interested to see if Scott Co sits in the zone or if we take some chances to try to create a turnover and/or to blitz to get some pressure on Goodin. If we sit back I think he will absolutely pick us apart.
