Just as a note. They’re in Latonia.

From Wikipedia:

Latonia is a former city, now neighborhood of Covington in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States. Latonia, not to be confused with the neighboring community of Latonia Lakes, is located in the southern part of the city of Covington. It includes residential, commercial and manufacturing areas.

Yes, he was. He even has visited the practice field a few times. For privacy, I can't go into what he is facing in his recovery, but thank you for the prayers. I would ask prayers for the Holy Cross

Transfers Between High Schools Policy

BGP is not a clearinghouse or platform for speculation, rumors, or discussion of potential or anticipated student-athlete transfers.

The use of the terms “transfer portal” or “portal” to describe high school student-athletes is prohibited in all high school forums.

Only confirmed transfers may be discussed, and discussion must be strictly limited to factual reporting of the move (i.e., the student-athlete has transferred from School A to School B).

Permitted content is limited to basic factual information such as the athlete’s name, sport/position, and the schools involved.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Any speculation, inference, or commentary regarding the reasons for a transfer.
  • Any discussion, suggestion, or implication of recruiting, inducement, eligibility issues, or rule violations in connection with a transfer.
  • Generalized commentary about schools, coaches, programs, or communities engaging in recruiting behavior based on transfer activity.
  • Attempts to indirectly question or interpret motives behind a transfer.

No discussion of transfers is permitted unless the transfer has already been officially completed and publicly confirmed. Even in those cases, discussion must remain strictly factual and non-interpretive.

This forum is not the venue for reporting or debating KHSAA violations. If you believe a violation has occurred, report it directly to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA).

No false, unverified, or misleading information may be posted.

The Bracken County game on 8/28 is now 7:30pm.

My in-laws both grew up in Latonia and apparently didn’t realize that Latonia was just a neighborhood of Covington until they were adults. Haha, Latonia was annexed by Covington in 1909, so it's been a hot minute since Latonia was its own city.

Kinda reminds me of the people who insist on still calling George Rogers Clark High School "Clark County High School," and to a lesser extent, the folks who insist on calling Madisonville-North Hopkins "Madisonville High School." Clark County High School switched to George Rogers Clark in 1963 and Madisonville High School became Madisonville-North Hopkins in 1968....I wouldn't have thought it'd take a half century for a new name to stick ? I think maybe I'll try to start a movement to call Cincinnati "Losantiville" again, lol.

I grew up a block or so away from Losantiville Ave in Pleasant Ridge.

Prayers needed for senior Braylon Thornberry.  He had an episode yesterday where he was rushed to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for emergency surgery for a brain bleed.  He will be under observation and may need additional surgery.  A Rosary Service is scheduled at Holy Cross Church in Latonia tomorrow (Thursday June 18) at 10:00 a.m.

Prayers.

I heard Thornberry was able to return home this week? Is that correct?

Continuing prayers for a full recovery for this young man.

I would ask prayers for the Holy Cross football program in general. Lately, it has been hit with some other difficult, challenging and even tragic news.
