A massive, massive choke from Duke.  UConn deserves a lot of credit for their fight, and they put the pressure on, but Duke absolutely blew it on that last sequence.

I know Iowa State was still short Jefferson, but I'm still surprised just how much Tennessee worked them over.  Kudos to the Vols for working their way to the Elite Eight and another chance to get to the Final Four for the first time ever.

Common sense from Coach Pitino after tonight’s game.

Pitino saying the losing team should go first in the post game media session. Now that they do on court interviews with the winning players and coach, that makes the losing team have to wait longer. Pitino said they had to wait 30 minutes to get to the media session.

I can see his point. They could have been finished with the media before Duke was done with their locker room celebration. But, I can also see where a losing team might like that extra time to compose themselves for the media after losing.

This is the key to me.  I can see where Rick is coming from, but people who have just lost... sometimes they say things they wish they could take back.

Ego trip, just another way for Rick to stay in the limelight.  On second thought, did it keep Rick out past his curfew?

Friday night was horrible, every team that I was rooting for lost! ?

Bad night for me too. I could have won all four of those games but only got one - Michigan. I had St. John's, Iowa St. and Michigan St. picked and all lost. Went from possibly having 7 of the Elite 8 to only having 4 of the Elite 8.

Illinois has answered back with a 9-0 run of their own and it is now 12-11 with 12:24 remaining in the half.

There is a problem at the Toyota Center the horn has been going nonstop for almost 10 minutes. The horn has stopped but now the scoreboard is out.

Illinois is the first team to make the Final 4 as they defeat Iowa 71-59. The Illini trailed early 9-0 and 12-2 but took over the game midway through the 2nd half.

In tonight's 2nd elite 8 game Purdue is leading Arizona 10-9 at the first media timeout.
