Kole Grundy out with illness tonight for the Jumpers.  Dampers the game some, as he is the best defender for the Jumpers and solid 2nd scorer.

That really stinks. Hopefully it's a quick thing and he's better soon with Clinton and Boyle looming at the end of the week.

Somerset officially has locked up the #1 seed in the 47th district as of 12:00 today.  The final RPI margin was SHS .61043 and Pulaski Co. .60008.  It will be Somerset at Casey Co. and Pulaski Co. vs.

Garrard beats Lincoln by 3. So barring a Lincoln upset over DCA, I believe district will be:   1. DCA 2. Boyle 3. Garrard 4. Lincoln 5. Danville 6. KSD

  • I believe it is voted on late in the regular season.

Boyle loses to DCA on a last second 3. Heck of a game.

What a terrific district season it has been, 1 through 5.

I would think this has to be the first time in school history that Garrard has won at Boyle, Lincoln and Danville all in the span of 7 days. Terrific week of basketball for the Golden Lions.

This is the first time in school history Garrard has won at Boyle, at Danville, and at Lincoln in the same season, let alone in seven days.

Good W!

I really like the Garrard County Coach. He has done a great job this year. I think Garrard has a shot to make it to the Regional tournament this year. When was the last time Garrard played in the Region?

I believe it was the 04-05 season. 21 years!

Seth Farmer was on the receiving end of a flagrant foul in the Somerset/Wayne County game and took a pretty hard fall.  There are reports that he broke his hand.  Is there any truth to those reports?

That report is pretty prominent right now but I haven't heard any confirmation. It happened in the 1st half and Farmer played the rest of the game but he did miss several free throws and was shooting in the high 80s before this game. Farmer was pushed in mid air hard enough, that his momentum pushed a Somerset player into the stage.

The linked pic catches him with his left hand down and his right foot straight up as he fell awkwardly.

He didn't even make an attempt on the ball.  He should have been ejected from the game.
