A Kuhnhein at DB just doesn’t seem natural, lol. Usually they are mauling people in the trenches.

THUNDERBIRDS

Highlands A was 6-1 on the Day losing to Ironton A 21-16 in the Finals. Everyone got really good work on the day and everyone got better. Highlands will travel to Greenwood on Thursday. 

Pool Play at Greenwood this Friday.

I heard these skill players look really good.  Bryce flung it really well and Benke at TE has really progressed nicely.  Can’t wait for the season!

Where do we find a schedule for Greenwood 7 on 7. We (Beech) are participating.

There are times when Highlands football coach Bob Sphire has difficulty telling the Benke identical twins apart.

Griffin Benke is a Highlands senior tight end who wears No. 11. Cooper Benke is a senior defensive lineman who wears No. 63. Both were born in March 2009.

“We live with each other,” Griffin said. “We spend 24 hours a day together. We have the same friend group. We have different jobs now. But, we literally spend all day together.”

I think if that’s the 77 team, I think QB Kevin Shupe is number 9? I could be incorrect.

Dennis Stafford is # 9 and Kevin Siple is # 10.
