Woodford County finished the season at 12-2 district and regional champions. The Jackets came up one game short of an appearance in the state 5A championship game losing to eventual state champions Owensboro. Owensboro would be Woodford’s loss to in state opponents with their second loss coming to Munford high school out of Tennessee. The jackets will look to replace many key players on both sides of the ball and on special teams.

Not sure if schedule yet, with what out of state teams that will stay or go, and who they’ll play in both the Mercer Bowl, and Bowl at Woodford. The Jackets will play home games on a new turf field as it’s being replaced now, with the possibility of new lights, scoreboard, and PA system at community stadium at Falling Springs. 

Yellow Jackets return a lot on offense wouldn’t surprise me at all to see them back in the semi’s. 

Woodford’s offensive coordinator has taken an offensive coordinator job at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.

Last year they played Fairdale in Week 1 as part of the Fort Harrod Bowl at Mercer County, and Mercer County faced Tates Creek. I haven't seen anything out there as of yet about the 2026 Fort Harrod Bowl to confirm which team plays which.

Would love to see Woodford Co and Franklin Co go back to playing each other again. Both programs doing well and has been a crazy atmosphere each year they play for years. Curious to see if Omari Jointer sticks to football for his senior year he’s consider a top 5-10 player for Mr. Ky basketball. 

Look like they’re looking for a week 2 home game for their Morgan and Morgan bowl.

Congrats.  All the way to Corvallis where he’ll join ex St X Tiger Carter Guillaume.  Believe it or not, the Oregon St football program has quite a few ties to the state of Kentucky.
