They used to have 2 by the way but it’s whatever. Maybe Chirico wasn’t the best fit there? Maybe it’s something else? Who would be a good candidate for this position?

Imagine one school:

so much more depth being developed

In theory, sure sounds awesome. But what county middle schools have actual coaching staffs that are actually developing kids, rather than simply babysitting during practice?

Maybe you are saying 3 middle schools allow for 3X as many players to get playing REPS/Experience.

I feel like the majority of coaches capable of actually developing kids are employed at the high school already.

There are a lot of really good middle school coaches out there.  For football minded guys who like to coach, but maybe don't have the time to dedicate to weekend film work etc...helping with middle schools can be a good avenue to help a surrounding program.

Agree 100%.  With more feeder schools, it is more difficult to get everyone on the same page.

Could Dane Damron be headed that way?

Always a possibility, but personally speaking, I think he's set up for more success at Paris than he would be at George Rogers Clark.

From my sources, there is a Lexington head coach that has applied.

Was told the same from a reliable source.

Looking at head coaches in Lexington that would "upgrade" from taking this job would think that limits this to coaches at Tates Creek, Lafayette or Dunbar.

What about Enrique Shaw? Looks like he just resigned from the Great Crossing staff... With winter/spring workouts set to resume, its highly doubtful he is now deciding he needs a break. I think he may be the guy.

Craig's cousin Terry Yeast is the athletic director at GRC, so it wouldn't be the most surprising of moves for Craig.

I just got confirmation from GRC that Coach Yeast is not one of the finalists to be named football coach of the Cardinals.
