For what it is worth I have heard separately that Moeller and Carmel are gone as well.

  • Those Tennessee schools (MBA, BA and Ensworth)voted as a group to STOP scheduling Trinity. "They werem getting too beat up". The coaches I spoke to had a table at Hall of Fame dinner when Brad Lampley

It is totally not true that Frederick Douglass dropped Trinity. I actually know this first hand that it was Trinity who called Douglass.  Trinity AD approached Coach McPeek because they got offered

  • I’m for anything they do that helps their RPI.

The last I heard, I don't believe Moeller is off the schedule.

Carmel is not on the sked next year, and I am glad PRP is not.

Who would you like to see T play?

My first one would be MBA or Brentwood (I know it's not happened again, but I can wish)

or Baylor School in Chattanooga

Ben Davis. The 'ROCKS owe them one from about 30 years ago.

As far as out-of-state goes, I’d like to see Brownsburg or Cathedral from Indiana, or maybe Mt. Carmel from Chicago. Maybe even a good Georgia school would be fun as well.

With that being said I wouldn’t mind seeing stronger in-state competition from other classes on the schedule as well. Better for the state of KY football and obviously Trinity’s RPI come playoffs.

What about the Nashville publics? Brentwood Public, Ravenwood, Oakland and Page. Places we can drive too.

But for everyone else in KY it is exactly the opposite and horrible for their RPI come playoffs.

If Trinity is 'up' next year, I think they'd put a running clock on these guys. Cov Cath beat a pretty senior heavy team Cathedral this year and was up 17-0 in the 4th.

Brownsburg, Mount Carmel, Baylor or McCallie from Chattanooga would all be good games.

IMG would be the target, no? I doubt any of the Mater Deis, Bishop Gormans, et al will venture over here. If we are talking National, go big, right? Trinity could schedule a St. Ed's, or possibly Baylor (TN) pretty easily.

This sounds like drop everything you are doing, because it's a very slim chance of the stars aligning for this opponent to be scheduled otherwise.

Can confirm:

- Carmel HS off the schedule due to them joining a conference in IN. Still a great relationship with Kevin Wright/Greyhounds AD

- Moeller off the schedule for now.

- F. Douglass off schedule due to opportunity for them to play a bowl game and no other dates available.

- Added Christian Brothers College HS in West St. Louis on the road. Also looking to add a possible nationally televised home game but nothing concrete at this time.

No reason to play IMG, BG, St. Frances, etc. unless ESPN/Paradigm gets involved. Costs for these games are insane and there's so many good teams in driving distance we could entertain (IN Brownsburg, IN Westfield, TN Baylor, OH St. Edward/St. Ignatius)

Usually Paradigm makes that call to the schools to gauge interest but I don't believe there has been anything other than preliminaries with our staff.

Replacing Shields/entire OL, WR Watson, DL Thompson and Frost, DB Bratcher, LBs Botner, Hughes, Calloway, Lowe

That being said, I want to see how good Brownsburg really is...they get talked about like the old BD teams from the 80's and 90's

From Christian Brothers website:• Roman Catholic college preparatory high school • Founded in 1850 • Operated by the Brothers of the Christian Schools • Grades 9-12 (all-boys) • Total enrollment: 835 students. They were 11-1 last year, losing in third round of Missouri 6A playoffs 45-42.  Game is scheduled for 7PM Central on August 28, 2026. Per Map Quest: 283 miles and 4 hours and 20 minutes from Trinity to Christian Brothers.

I took a USA T&F class there. Nice but not big stadium.

Oakland High School from Murfreesboro, Tennessee finished 15-0 as #2 in the state and #36 in the country according to MaxPreps. About three and a half hours away from Trinity and I believe they have not played before. Could be a fun matchup and a way to return to playing schools south of Kentucky.
