Seating is supposed to be 3000. That's about 1000 less than Trinity's stadium, but I'd be a little surprised to see too huge of a crowd making the 4-1/2 hour trip for the Rocks. The CBC Cadets football team has state titles from 2014, 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022. They compete in MSHSAA's Class 6 (large school).

Completely non-related, but one of the doctors who was in residency with my wife is a CBC grad. He played for their soccer program. Evidently when the Olympics were held in St. Louis in 1904 (the first Olympic games ever held in the United States) it was the premiere of soccer as an Olympic sport, and the US didn't have a team at the time. CBC was ahead of the curve and actually had a soccer team already, so the US Olympic Committee went ahead and just entered the Cadets soccer team as the US Olympic soccer team....and they actually won silver. The best the US soccer program has ever finished in the Olympics.

So he played for CBC soccer at the Olympics in 1904 and was in residency with your wife in more recent years….. Call me impressed with his versatility and longevity.

Lol, nahh, I'd guess he was probably playing soccer at CBC roundabout 2005. But he was definitely proud of telling folks about how the high school program he played in had previously been the Olympic silver medal winner....I think he said they're the only high school program to ever won an Olympic medal.

Lots of solid public schools in the region Trinity could schedule. Cincinnati Anderson, Cincinnati Princeton, Alcoa,TN, Springfield,OH, Olentangy,OH, Murfreesboro Oakland, East St. Louis, etc.

Not likely to happen. While the Rocks were pleased with the level of competition vs MBA, Ensworth and Brentwood Academy, the 3 hour drive and losing an hour coming back got the busses back on campus around 2 am. The top schools in the Indianapolis and Cincinnati areas are much better logistically.

I don’t have any knowledge of the arrangement for this game or if it is even contracted yet.

The team will likely stay overnight in St. Louis for this trip.

FWIW, the exponential advances in HUDL and technology around game film and planning make the bus rides much easier to deal with and they will not lose as much prep time for the following week. This was always our issue when travelling a good distance to play down South, as TH58 alluded to.

Is this lining up to be a ESPNU broadcast?

Have not heard specifically...I know T is trying to get a TV game eventually
