Savage anywhere in that photo? I don't like their chances if he's out.

Any game day update on Savage?

I've been told by a pretty reliable source that Ryle is going to be playing without either of their starting inside linebackers tonight - Savage, being one of the two.

  • Given your previous prodigious prognostications through the years, I would think South Warren would be happy to see this post.

  • South Warren has never lost a state final in their three previous appearances.  But they're about to meet the unstoppable force.  Trinity hasn't lost in a state final since 2009.

  • Good call.

That's a fair analysis. But I think this might be different. It's just a feeling. It's like you can feel the cardiac kids vibe in these kids now. I get what you are saying, but don't be surprised if they are healthy and win.

I (along with many) thought Ryle had the "It Factor" in 2024 but they have not been able to recapture it in 2025.

South Warren by 2 + scores.

No Savage tonight?

Afraid this game is going to be too much for a shorthanded Raider team.

If this is true, it's gonna be tough against an excellent team like SW. The others will battle like crazy. I'm proud of how they have faced adversity all year long.

I'm still rolling with Da Raiders. Savage or not. They got guys. Arness came for a reason. Savage and Co. will be ready next week.

At MLB, Jacob Savage leads Ryle in solo tackles (58), total tackles (112) and TFL (15). Kai Workman is third for the Raider D in solo tackles (29), and second in both total tackles (79) and TFL (9.5). Those two combine for an average 6.7 solo tackles per game and an additional 8 assisted tackles each game...plus about 2 tackles for loss each game. The two "next up" at MLB and the rest of Ryle's defense are all gonna really have to bring it 110% tonight to stop the Spartans rushing attack, especially.

South Warren is slightly more pass-heavy with their offense; they're 57% pass 43% run with an average 206 yards per game passing and 156 yards per game rushing. That said, I've gotta think if Jon Lemasters senses any vulnerability up the middle on Ryle's D, he's gonna have Kayden York and Jamir Boards working things HARD on the ground between the tackles tonight.
