This has the makings to be the best game next week in 6A. The Ryle Raiders (9-3) come south on I-75 to Lexington to “The Farm” to take on the (8-4) Frederick Douglass Broncos. They are just separated  by just over a point in the state RPI. They also played two common opponents this season in Highlands and Tates Creek. The Broncos started the season out at Highlands and lost 21-20 in OT. Highlands defeated Ryan by 4 at 28-24 in midseason. They both played Tates Creek the Bronco’s defeated them 40-7 while Ryle won 37-0. This is going to be a good game in my opinion. I’ll take the Broncos in a close one. The game will be on NHSF Network and should be on Gilcod Sports as well. Go Broncos. 

I think this is the only game in 6A that could see an "upset" with the home team losing. 

And I like Ryle in this one,

Savage carries the load and Raiders win 24-20

I'm expecting a hard-fought battle and close game at The Farm. The Raiders need to clean up the handful of miscues/unforced errors committed vs. the Bruins. It's hard to beat a good team like  FD on the road if you are "in the Christmas spirit".

Game of the week in 6A. The other 6A games don't look to be competitive.

Ryle needs to run the ball. Eat up clock and keep FD's O on the sideline. No turn overs is a must at this point of the season or at least be plus in turnovers. If we bring the heat on D that we did last week we are hard to beat. We need to dominate the LOS again to have a chance. 

Its taken me all week, these teams on paper look super close and even similar. Past few years, we have come out flat at home playoff games, hopefully that gets worked out Friday. Looks like rain all game, so turnovers will tell the tale.

Going to have to get the lead heading into the 3rd quarter, historically Douglass doesn't do well when trailing in the 4th. I think the defense gets it done. 21-14 Broncos.

Ball security will be huge with two evenly matched teams battling it out. I'm grateful for the Glicod broadcast.
