It's actually not a bad deal. But I wouldn't do it.

Be aware with the ESPN app, there are different tiers.  The lowest tier won't get you the televised games on ESPN and ESPN2 as I found this out this past weekend.  We have the app to watch my daughter's games, and I just found out about the different tiered levels this past weekend because we couldn't get certain games on the lowest subscription (Notre Dame game that was on ESPN).

I'm curious if my recorded shows, movies, and events from the Disney affiliated channels will be reloaded if they ever come to an agreement.  Once the channels were dropped, they were dropped from my library.  

I looked at it few days ago because of this thread and yes ESPN made some changes.  If I follow, if you want it all from ESPN now you need ESPN Unlimited.  From Google AI:

Correct. Basically, for live ESPN, absent a package deal, you are looking at $30/month. 

As I understand, Disney is losing $5M/day.

I am thinking about it but I still don't know what direction I am going to go if I move away from "traditional cable."

$30 a month is pretty steep for me. The main sports I watch are NFL and MLB and I have subscriptions for both, which isn't cheap. I'm getting closer and closer to just a la carte tv viewing. I rarely watch shows live, and there's enough out there to keep me entertained without paying an arm and a leg for the convenience of watching stuff first run. I probably only consume about 1% of all the TV that I'm paying for.

I agree it is a lot but for me ESPN has a lot of things I like, some NFL, tons of college football, college basketball, and of course Formula One so I think ESPN Unlimited is a no brainer for me if I go that direction.

Everybody is different. I just don't watch that much ESPN outside of Monday night football. 25 years ago, it was a different story, as I watched ESPN daily. For a long time, I didn't mind paying money for access to a ton of content and not using all that much of it. Now, I'm paying even more, and using it less. I'm not quite there yet. but there are very few channels I need, especially when I can stream stuff after the fact. I still love sports, but I just don't watch much anymore outside of NFL and MLB. A lot of that is because I work nights and at least one day on the weekend, so I really can't really watch much live sports anyway.

I am not as far down the path as you are but something has to give on cost vs. what I watch.  However, I do pretty much watch TV (at least have it on) from the time I get up until the time I go to bed everyday. 

A quick google search says no end in sight to the YouTube TV/ESPN/ABC/Disney dispute.

I picked up Hulu last weekend for the games. 

If this is going to drag on, I'm going to cancel Hulu and YouTubeTV and just do the $30 ESPN deal and get an antenna.

I have two antennas now and I am very pleased with them.  

If it doesn't drag on I assume you are going to keep YouTubeTV, cancel Hulu, and anything else?

If it's resolved I'll stick with YouTubeTV because I love it. I'll cancel Hulu because it's awful comparted to YTTV. 

We also have a Disney+ subscription for the kiddo, as well as HBO Max.

The more I think about this the more I think I am going to end up with YouTubeTV, ESPN Unlimited, and I will keep Netflix and Prime.

Is this Hulu Live+ or regular Hulu that has ESPN+ games but not the rest of ESPN?

I tried the free trial of Fubo, but it's not a long-term solution as it doesn't have TNT, TBS, Tru which carry most of the games of day 1 and 2 of March Madness.
