KCD will travel to Campbellsville with a District Title on the line… Campbellsville enters the game with a 7-1 record (#3 RPI) and KCD enters with a 8-0 record (#1 RPI)… Both teams possess high octane offenses and physical defenses…  This will be a Great Game… Who gets the Win???

Cambellsville for the win.

Campbellsville has a chance to make a statement this week. I think this will be a physical battle and whoever wins upfront on both sides of the ball will win the ballgame. Turnovers plagued Campbellsville last year at KCD. Biggest question is if KCD loses how does that affect their RPI? And what does it do it campbellsville RPI if they win? Not sure anyone can catch KCD unless they lose out.

Going to be a great game. Campbellsville should have won last year but turnovers got them also the Rpi system is broken. Campbellsville beat them a few years ago with this same situation and they stayed #1 and had to meet Pikeville in the state semis rather than the state championship. Pikeville beats Campbellsville by one score and goes on to win the state championship.

Campbellsville’s pass defense is very suspect but their run defense is stout. KCD appears to be run-oriented so I give Campbellsville the edge here.

I think Campbellsville is the better team and still has to be feeling the sting from last year. However, I still have real questions about their ability to stop the pass. KCD may be more run-oriented but Coach Jones is great, and he will have his kids ready to win this game. This one will come down to the wire. Looking forward to watching this one.

On the RPI discussion, the system is completely broken and I’m still trying to figure out how KCD got such a huge bump over everyone when the #s were released. Maybe they do deserve to be #1 but Campbellsville only lost to a 3A powerhouse by a score and if they were to win head-to-head isn’t taken into account.

Depends. Pikeville beat Hazard last year and Hazard still ended up with a higher RPI. Last year it was Sayre, Raceland, Hazard, then Pikeville. So even in a win it’s possible they don’t jump KCD.

I believe KCD gets their first loss of the season. Should be a great game, good luck to both teams.

This should be the game of the week across the entire state. While I believe Campbellsville has more talent across the board, I think KCD is better conditioned, and if it comes down to the wire like last year, then I give the Bearcats a slight edge. KCD wins another tight one 24-21.

Excited for this one! Should be an electric Atmosphere at Dave Fryrear Field!

I don’t think this game is getting enough credit. Top two teams in 1A. Should be a slobberknocker. Seen a stat earlier that KCDs kicker is perfect for field goals this year. That could be a deciding factor in this matchup!

Campbellsville is a fun place to play. That stadium will be lit. Should be a great game and great atmosphere.

I am looking forward to watching the game.

Beechwood played at Campbellsville in the 2017 1A semifinals. It was a really exciting game atmosphere. Beechwood took some ideas from what Campbellsville did pre game and have used them for home playoff games since then.
