The (3-1) Lions make the short trip to Cincy on Sunday to take on the (2-2) Bengals. The Lions have won 3 straight after losing their opening game with the Packers. The Bengals won their first two but have lost the last 2 by a combined score of 76-13. This has the making of a 3rd straight beatdown. I guess we will see this game is scheduled for a 4:25 kick on Fox. Go Bengals! WHO DEY!!

This has the making of a lopsided high school game. Uber aggressive play calling vs our conservative play calling and their top notch defense leads to a beat down.

Will Zac Taylor show any creativity? This team screams for creative play design and play calling.

Take advantage of your strengths and make your opponent adjust to what you are doing. I would spread the field. Go four wides or 3 plus Gesicki. Motion Chase Brown and go empty backfield. Get the ball out to one of those options instantly. Instantly. Negate a pass rush completely with quick passes. Get the ball to the stud skills players quick and let them work in space.

The focus is quick, move the chains with short passes and extended hand off type plays, possess the ball to keep the defense off the field.

let's hope so. The frustrating part, is other offensive coaches who coached under Sean McVay have gone on to become known as great creative offensive minds like McVay. Yet Taylor really hasn't not shown that as much, as his offense has always seemed to stem from guys having to win routes, more so than schemes helping out. I do think he has gotten better, but still not great.

Matt Lafleur, Kevin O'Connell, Liam Coen, all guys who previously coached under McVay have been very successful and known for their good offensive minds. Here is a chance for Taylor to show he can be like that too.
