  • I reverse engineered 2024 RPI ratings from KHSAA website and mocked up potential 2025 RPI ratings.  Can't wait to see how close I get whenever KHSAA decides to honor their commitment of Week 5. A

  • I love how Juggsports put this together on a random Saturday evening but for whatever reason the KHSAA can’t invest enough time to meet their own deadline. ?

Everyone's in a hurry to watch teams get punished for scheduling games against out of state competition ?

This is bizarre that KHSAA hasn't produced it yet. Heck, give me the data and I can have Chat GPT produce it in real time!

Not good.  The same khsaa is slow to act on most things regarding football.

I get it. I want to see RPI as much as anyone else. But it doesn't matter until week 11. I can only imagine how crazy RPI looks in week 2 and how much it jumps around the first few weeks of the season.

This RPI system is flawed and not accurate!  It shouldn’t even be considered for a true state ranking system.

But there's excitement in seeing teams improve, climb the ranks, and play the if/then game.

This is all true and on point, but at the same time I was raised where if you tell someone you are going to do something.  You do it.  Period.  And if you can't do what you said you would, you would inform those involved why you can't and when you can.

I understand things happen and I'm sure there are 1,000 things behind the scenes to cause this.  No problem.  A simple note saying we are about a week behind.  No problem.

Common courtesy.  I guess that's too much to ask these days.

Are they behind schedule? I thought week 5 was the scheduled release, which is this coming Monday?

We are on Week 6 aren't we?  BG is 1-5.  That's 6 games in my book and therefore 6 weeks.  And heading to Week 7?

Correct. I forgot Beechwood had a bye week 1.

Right everyone, Week 6:

We can't even accurately predict who someone is playing in Week 3 of the playoffs because they insisted on this abomination.  It's quite irritating that they have blown through the deadline.  It's pulling information from a database - it shouldn't be this hard!

If you had to publish the KHSAA Football RPI, you would also avoid, delay and procrastinate as long as possible.

There are major flaws in it and it unfortunately impacts quite a bit in the post season rounds 3 and 4

They have a crummy RPI system and they know it.

Would you explain why you believe that?

Because a system that has a solid and common sense foundation of metrics would not need 60% of the regular season to be completed before the data is published.
