The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) travel north to Cincinnati to the take on the (1-0) Bengals. The Jaguars had a pretty easy time in defeating the Panthers 26-10. The Bengals had a much tougher time upstate in Cleveland where they won 17-16 and surprising it was there defense that really got them to win their opening game of the season for the first time since 2021. This should be a good game I look for the Bengals offense to play a lot better than they did today and the Bengals will improve to 2-0. The game is on CBS with a 1:00pm kickoff. Go Bengals! WHO DEY!!

Jacksonville finally has a decent coach I look for them to play a good game.

The Bengals today made the following roster moves:

**Signed DT Mike Pennel off the practice squad to the active roster. Pennel, an 11th-year player, signed to the Bengals' practice squad on Sept. 1. He was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game at Cleveland, then reverted to the practice squad yesterday.

**Placed G Lucas Patrick on the Reserve/Injured list. Patrick, a ninth-year player, suffered a calf injury in Sunday's game at Cleveland.

**Signed DE Myles Cole to the practice squad. Cole (6-6, 280), a second-year player out of Texas Tech University, originally was a seventh-round draft pick of Jacksonville in 2024. He played in eight games as a rookie for the Jaguars last season and recorded eight tackles with one TFL. He was waived by Jacksonville on Aug. 26.

**Signed DE Isaiah Foskey to the practice squad. Foskey (6-5, 280), a third-year player out of the University of Notre Dame, originally was a second-round draft pick of New Orleans in 2023. He played in 27 games over two seasons (2023-24) with the Saints, totaling 17 tackles, a half-sack and one PD. He was waived by New Orleans on Aug. 26.

**Released DE Isaiah Thomas from the practice squad. Thomas, a third-year player, signed to the practice squad on Aug. 27.

Golden wants to rotate the line as much as possible to keep everyone fresh.  Hendrickson isn't totally 100% yet and Golden doesn't want to burn him out.

He did look out of shape to me.  Holding out I understand, not being in peak performance, that's unprofessional. 

Things I am looking for from the Bengals this week: 

1. How does the  Bengals' defensive front handle the Jags' rushing attack? The Jags ran for 200 yards last week. That makes me nervous. 

2. How does Zac Taylor get # 1 and # 5 more touches? 

3. Smoot and Hines-Allen get after the passer well. They are not Myles Garrett, but will Burrow get rid of the ball, and will the Bengals O-Line hold up so our offense can develop some type of rhythm?

Let’s go Bengals. I’ll be coming south through Cincinnati around 11am, hope I don’t get caught in traffic but I really enjoy the buzz in the river cities when the Bengals play at home. Offense has to show up today.

The Jags won the toss and elected to take the ball and so far it looks to be a good call as they are driving it right down the field. Hopefully we can get a stop and just hold them to 3 points!
