Yes. We are not great, but the first scrimmage game was not like it was last year when we tied. Owensboro Catholic will drop some. Off the face of the earth, NO, but they will be down compared to the last two years.

Not sure about Catholic but Mayfield will be better than most think.  Heard their QB will probably be back sooner than expected. That will make them more explosive on offense.  Their defensive box play will be tough to run against as usual.  The Cards secondary is, to me, where they need to get better. And if I know one thing from ‘Ol Big Red: they have some great coaches and will have that machine fine tuned by playoffs.  They may drop a game or two but I still see them in semis or better.

I think Mayfield will be better than last year.  By how much, I don't know.  And I'm not sure where that puts them relative to the other big dogs.

 I think you're just guessing..... I expect Mayfield barring injuries to play for the State Title.

You have to beat really good teams, whichever side you're on. East has much shorter drives than going out west does.

Mayfield had a down year last year, and that was still good enough to make the regional finals.

With who they return from a year ago, they're the team to beat outside of Beechwood.

As I noted months ago, I will miss Somerset and Danville being together in a district.  Feels weird that is no longer the case.
