Mike Yeagle would be an excellent addition to any school in NKY. His name alone will get kids out and another plus is that him and Roy Jr. already have a coaching relationship because of Roy Jr. coaching at Beechwood before he went to Newport to coach with Roy Sr.

Lloyd has always had good talent. Injuries and attitude have been the down fall. I know of quite a few players that have told me that they would come out for football if the "right" coach was named. I certainly think Mr. Yeagle would be the "right" coach. I just hope the powers that be name someone soon! The players need to know who will be steering the ship and get all of his policies into effect.

Erlanger has tons of talents in it, but there hasnt been a good coach there in ages so alot of the players go to diff. schools

Sheffield- Cov Cath then Highlands

Burke- Cov Cath

Dixon- Cov Cath

both Metzgers or how ever it is spelled- Dixie

 

They lose tons because of the coaches I believe if he comes in more kids will stay home :thumb:

I dont think I would put Coach Lucas down as "hasnt been a good coach" He took a 1-9 team and put them in the playoffs 6 straight years. 5 of those years he won or tied the district. 2003 they played the state semi down to the wire. Hardly the resume of "hasnt been a good coach" Dont get me wrong Lucas isnt ready to coach D1 but he is hardly a "bad" coach.

Metzgers-Nick & Daniel were going to Dixie from birth I think

I'm not what you would call a Lloyd fan ,but I have some relatives on the team now and I've spoken to Coach Lucas in the past. I really liked him.

What happend to Coach Yeagle being happy with his job at Dayton and gearing up for Baseball season? I thought he was trying to lay low from football.

I was simply asking a question because it was posted earlier on this board about how Yeagle was not interested in any other football jobs and wanted to coach Baseball. I thought because of the incidents he dealt with in football that he wanted to step away for awhile.

You got yourself in trouble by believing what you read regarding him not being interested in any other football jobs and wanting to coach baseball. I will let you in on a secret, he is not nor ever was going to coach baseball but what do I know? Dayton wanted him to coach baseball but he never said he would.

 

He needs to coach football where he is happy, content, around kids, this is what he does, it is what he is and what he loves to do, COACH FOOTBALL. He will or will be a great fit at Lloyd and I along w/all the Beechwood faithful will be happy to see him back in action. Not so happy to see him on the opposite sideline but that is life and so be it. It will make for an exciting game.

Would that be Dan Metzer, class of '02? If so he went to CovCath for a year before transferring to Dixie.

A round of interviews were Monday, and I've also heard Yeagle was one of the candidates. At least one in-house person, and several from around the area.
