DCA with a win over Lexington Catholic and a loss to GRC.  I didn’t get scores on the games.  DCA’s best player, Leek Ateny, out with an ankle sprain.

Somerset beat South Laurel in a close one.  Frederick Douglass and Bell Co. in a tight one right now. 

Bell Co. won on a buzzer beater over Douglass.

Bell Co. beat Somerset by 4.  Two contenders in the 12th and 13th regions.  Bell’s big man Buell can really fill it up. 

Lincoln Co. over Nicholas Co. by around 10

Great Crossing beat Mercer Co. by around 20

Not sure, all those kids for Bell are SRs now and have played pretty much their whole career.  The year is this year for them if it’s going to happen.

Lawrence Buell was one of the best players that I saw play against Somerset, while I was in high school from 84-88.  We saw some good ones: Ritchie Farmer, Reggie Hanson, Shannon Fraley, Felton Spencer, the whole Oak Hill Academy roster, Prince Stewart, and a bunch more.   But he definitely made my top 10 opponents list.  We beat Middlesboro, on a last second jump shot, then beat Clay County in Farmer's sophomore season in a Christmas Tournament at Pulaski.  Unfortunately, we ran out of gas and couldn't get by the Maroons, who would go on to win the Sweet Sixteen, in the finals.  Buell later went on to finish on a lot to LMU's top 10 career lists.
