Jamir is a very young reclass, so for him, it made sense to go that route based on his date of birth and his size.  However, I can see him lasting less than a year at CCH and then go somewhere else if things don't go their way.  He went to 3 different middle schools bouncing around between Turkeyfoot, Holy Cross, and Holmes.

He went to Turkeyfoot 7th and 8th grade year.

  • I am Coach Chard, and I will take the responsibility for that, however I can assure you my special teams coach got lit up because of that.

At this juncture who really cares how old a kid is.  This has gone on for years and is no different now.  Ages had zero to do with the game result last night, period end of story.

  • Dixie 14 Ryle 7   Great game, very physical battle.

His initial 6th grade year was at TF.  He then reclassified and transferred to Holmes then Holy Cross for his 2nd year of 6th grade (may have been HC then Holmes).  He came back to TF for 7th and 8th grade.

He didn’t go to holy cross at all, maybe another school but seems like he’s in Turkeyfoot/Dixie district.

Right, age has zero to do with anything and it was never talked about in the past because it normally meant the child failed a grade vs. being a reclass/holdback/covid whatever/etc.

It's only a problem brought up when the kid is really good. In truth, there are plenty of reclassed/older kids who are just average players that you'll never hear anything about.
