At this juncture who really cares how old a kid is.  This has gone on for years and is no different now.  Ages had zero to do with the game result last night, period end of story.

  • Dixie 14 Ryle 7   Great game, very physical battle.

Yes Kiyan Miller was a very talented youth player and I hope to see it translate to the high school level, he is also a reclass. Brandon Smith Jr. and Jamir Kirkley are another 2 that are going to be good ones for the Colonels. Kirkley is also a reclass. I could see Smith going D1.

Miller kid is a a big physical runner. He is a handful to tackle. He will dominate the ground game, which will lead to a wide open pass game. Kirtley is a shifty piece that is very skilled in the open field. Grainger is a big target as well in the pass game.

Smith is unlikely to play any freshman from what I am hearing. He played 10-12 Snaps at Safety Friday vs Ryle and special teams. Played all of JV also. I think the rule is 8 quarters played in a week max, but I am unsure. I believe Miller and Smith had TD’s in the JV game.

They are all really good BBall players also. Great fresh class in all sports for CCH this year.

The question is… how is Cov Cath’s freshmen QB? I also heard Kirtley should be a starter but isn’t. Has that changed? Or will it? When Miller meets Stojkovic Wednesday, I’m here for it. Will Hull, Miller, Kirtley and Grainger prevail over Armstrong, Simon, Stojkovic, and Kues. Or will 8th graders Wimzie and Moeves shine? It’s hard to find a good true corner at this age. What will be the difference in this game? I think I know. But until Wednesday at around 9 nobody knows. Good luck young men and may the best dawgs prevail!

The reclass stuff is wild to me, so 15 going on 16 playing freshman football?? If that’s the case it doesn’t get any more lame to me.

Hull is the Frosh QB, he can sling it and is tall. Highlands has a loaded frosh team also, all the players you mentioned are ballers. And yes, Miller and Stojkovic collisions will be exciting all night.

Should be a great game and environment.

Jamir is a very young reclass, so for him, it made sense to go that route based on his date of birth and his size.  However, I can see him lasting less than a year at CCH and then go somewhere else if things don't go their way.  He went to 3 different middle schools bouncing around between Turkeyfoot, Holy Cross, and Holmes.

Thanks for clarifying, it can definitely make sense for some. I know Lorenzen is a junior and won’t turn 16 until after football season. That one always shocks me.
