Tilghman's Spread Offense had components of Tony Franklin, RPO / Option and of course, an abundance of passing the football to athletes in space. They executed it extremely well in cold weather, when it mattered the most. On our episode w/ him, he made it clear that he was committed to that style of football. That resolve certainly paid dividends. Congratulations Coach Thompson!

Certainly a deserving choice.  Thought Sayre’s Chad Pennington was certainly an outstanding candidate, especially considering he built a non-existent program into a 15-0 state champion in 4?5? years.  Well done coaches.

I'm not sure how he didn't win. Nothing against Coach Thompson, but building a team from zero to a title in such a short period is pretty impressive.
