Love the new profile picture, a little ironic that the purple and gold creates a shade of @Brown

Wow - love the non-district games.  They should pulverize Catholic - losing alot.  CAL, Scott, St. X, Franklin County - my only regret is they lose the Owensboro game.  Not really needed though becuase they will most likely meet in the playoffs.

Bump.

According to his X account (see below) and a few other sources, 2026 SR QB Jaxon Strautman (Frederick Douglass QB) officially enrolled at Bowling Green yesterday.  His first day is today.

His dad is taking a new job in BG.  Very fortunate for BG I'd say.  I still expect a "competition" for QB, but this changes the game for sure.

Welp… that’s convenient!

I didn’t think he was on an elite tier for Douglass but he was more than serviceable. I’m interested to see what he looks like with the offense.

Gonna be tough following Deuce Bailey.

I suppose the rumor mill was correct in the sense of somebody would be coming in. Not the name I heard in the mix but a very fortunate find nonetheless, 20 TD’s 11 INT’s, a few TD’s on the ground. Tough to follow up the career Bailey just presented to us but as @BillNye mentioned you just need someone who is serviceable, the talent around whoever steps behind center this fall will have plentiful of weapons at their disposal. This should make for an interesting spring and fall camp with some competition at the position, too soon to give an opinion on who I believe will be QB1.

Any QB to follow Deuce will be a step down. No disrespect to whomever it turns out to be. That’s just how good Bailey was. In another year he could have been Mr Football IMO.

Not only a great player but his poise on the field.

Spader stepping down or retiring??

Noticed head football coach position on school website.

Coach Spader is retiring from teaching.

This is a required formality based on that change in status from active teacher to retired as I'm told.

He has to apply, but he is staying for sure is what I'm told.

Welcome to BGP @OldDawg48!
