I think, on paper, this is the biggest mismatch of any of the semifinal games.  Like many teams trying to pull the big upset, Somerset will have to limit the OC offense big plays, win the TOP battle by at least 2:1, give up no scores on special teams & win the turnover battle by at least 2+.  If they can do that, and that’s a big if, they’ll have a shot.  All that being said, I think it’s a running clock win for OC.

Well you’re thinking 4/6 come out of NKy. Not giving any hope to the rest of the state and that’s ok. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

The Jumpers will have their work cut out for them on Friday night. That is a certainty, but I think they will play well. This team has progressed through the season, not counting the loss at Glascow. Somerset will have to limit turnovers and penalties, Make sure Bruner has time to find his receivers, and mix up the play calling. I am looking forward to the trip to Owensboro. They had their State Championship, that had been there since 2009 pass away 2 years ago after being extremely sick his last couple of seasons. They went 8-15 those last 2 seasons.  Coach Clevenger came in and had a big rebuild on his hands.  He's won 2 straight Regional Championships and went 19-8 the past 2 seasons.  They've played in the semifinals in both of his seasons.  They've got really good young players from their freshman class down through their 6th grade that just won the middle school state championship.  Have they been a notch below Mayfield, Beechwood, LCA and Owensboro Catholic the past 2 seasons? Sure. But they've been the 5th or 6th best team in 2A both seasons.  Enrollment in the system is at an all time high. They're getting ready to build a new fieldhouse with an indoor practice facility. There's nothing wrong at Somerset.
