Is there a big game happening in Bowling Green this week? Hype level ?.

  • Regardless of the outcome, I’m most looking forward to the BG crowd vs. Souths PA announcer.    another thing to watch: BG Linebackers. Didn’t perform the best last matchup, could see if South

This should be a good one. I think that BG wins this time. Good luck to both teams.

51-24 BG in the poll.

The Spartans flexed their big brains at Thanksgiving trivia, pitching a shutout over BG.

GAME DAY!

And it's a BIG One!

Three keys for South Warren:

1.  Keep Button upright!  If he has time he had 21 completions last game.

2. Defensive pressure.  This is a staple for South Warren.  Their front 7 flat gets after you!

3.  Who is going to step up?  In order to win the game, someone not a household name will need to make a big play in deciding the game.  In the first game it was DB Joseph Fentress who has a critical INT on Deuce Bailey that turned the tide for South.

Three keys for Bowling Green:

1.  Keep Baily upright!  And if pressured make great decisions to run or just throw it away.

2.  Defensive pressure.  BG has really amped up the pressure of late and their front 7 is playing better than they have all season.

3.  Who is going to step up?  Tucker Strode blocked a punt in the last playoff game vs South at South and turned the tide for BG from a tight game into a comfortable win.

Going to be a GREAT game!

Go Purples!

If I were going to add an additional key, it would be rushing yardage by the quarterbacks. Both are known for their arms first and foremost, and neither leads their team in rushing, but I think you can argue that Bailey and Button are the two most dangerous runners in this game. Especially if the heat is coming and the rush gets too far upfield, and the middle is there for the taking. Both are very good running quarterbacks at the high school level, plus none of the primary ball carriers set the world on fire in Game 1.
