Great win for Pope and the Cats.  Didn't think it would happen. 

I think Flagg played great. It was neat to be an experienced team in the second half.

The defense and 2nd half adjustments were so nice to see. UK didn't shoot great, Duke deserves some of the credit for that, but scrapped all night and did what they had to do to pull this out.

Not bashing anyone, but this is the type game that we've routinely lost the last 5 seasons. When Duke called the timeout with around 30 seconds left and Pope was drawing up their defense and what he expected Duke to run, it was so refreshing. That's when, even though it was tied, I felt we'd win this game.

I agree we would have lost this game in the past by 7 or 8 points.

I thought they had tired legs a lot of the second half.  Plus UK actually defended in the second half.

I would hate Kerr Kriisa if he played for anyone else.  And even though he's a Cat, I hate his mustache. 

I agree with the posts above that we would have lost this game in previous. We know that because Duke lost. They have the Calipari roster with young, high tier talent. UK has the experience. That is college basketball today - experience wins over talent.

These kids are playing for the name on the FRONT of the jersey!!  Deepest team in the nation.  Pope is so selfless and humble!!  The lady that interviewed him after the game said it exactly right, Coach, you’re 1 of 1

Agreed, other than 1 singular time that Carr forced it a bit, UK played awesome in that stretch. Love the coaching.

He reminds me of a certain someone who won't be named. But he's not been gone more than a few years from the SEC and NCAA.

College basketball is now about experience beats talent.

I did something I never do. Still riding the high from last night, I turned on Sportscenter to see the highlights of the Cats big win. They said you can tell it was a big night because Seth Greenberg is here this early in the morning.  They then spend the next 60 seconds talking about how great Flagg is (he is really good and evidently just 17 years old) and how this loss benefits Duke. There was barely even a mention of the team they played. ? 

I think they showed one UK made basket, even when they mentioned that Kentucky started the second half with a quick 5-0 spurt, the highlights were of two Duke baskets. ? 

I love it, I'm glad we are an afterthought even after this win.
