Final. A heck of game. Congrats to Male. These two teams have now played twice and each won on the others field and both games have been decided by a total of 4 points. I would not be surprised to see these two meet again in the 6A playoffs.

Got to love that last 32 yard catch and run TD by Chennault.  Boxed in on sideline, swiveled his hips avoiding one Male defender who lost his undies, sidestepped a 2nd and sprinted down the sidelines.  One of best I’ve seen this year.  Great game with just tons of talent on both sides.  Male’s Harris with 3 TD receptions is one impressive dude.  Look real good in Bearcat red/black or Ky blue.

Final Stats:

Rush Yards: Male 79 Frederick Douglass 200

Passing Yards: Male 257 Frederick Douglass 123

Total yards: Male 336 Frederick Douglass 323

Penalties: Male 4 Frederick Douglass 5

Turnovers: Male 0 Frederick Douglass 1

Good game. Male saw a weakness in the secondary, and boyyyyyyy did they exploit it. Our guy is going to have to really watch film tomorrow, he was lost in the sauce every Harris TD.

Hopefully RPI doesn't dip too far...

Road Warriors.

Aveion Chenault is way better than Western Michigan. He's the real deal!!!!

His issue was he wasn't making these plays last season. After his 2024 basketball season ended, he was fully dedicated to his football craft.

When he had the offers blow up after his sophomore year emergence in the Sweet 16 and Final 4, he was still going to basketball camps and on the AAU circuit. And it showed last season. This off-season, he put in the work, but I'm sure all the SEC schools and B1G schools that were interested were full.

RPI remains difficult to understand. St. Xavier is behind Ryle after the Tigers seven point win over Raiders. Head-to-head should probably be more heavily weighted in calculations. Round four matchups will be difficult to predict until regular season is concluded 11/1/24. The final four teams will be ranked by RPI only and their regions will not be considered.

How about his size?  Could not tell from broadcast.  Sure got Power 5 moves.

This should be an ejection like targeting.

Nothing dirty, just a tenth of a second early hit (no fair catch indicated, no lowering of helmet).  15 yard penalty seems right by me.  Fair catch evolved to avoid this continuously happening.

From Coach McPeek after last night’s loss to Male.

“Game didn't go like we had hoped but give Male credit for making more plays than we did. I still love our team and believe in us. I would also like to thank our booster club for embarrassing and surprising me with a pregame ceremony presenting a banner to hang in our facility. I'm very honored and blessed people think enough of me and Sarah Whitlock McPeek to present her flowers. ? ❤️ ? Frederick Douglass Football”
