Franklin sits at 4-0 after the most recent drubbing of Spencer County 40-6. Looking at the stat report on KHSAA it seems like everyone got a piece in the win. This is their second district game. 

Shelby County is currently 0-5 and been shut out 3 times this year. There are no stat reports filled out yet for the Rockets, but with only 21 points scored in 5 games played I would say there's not a lot of offense being produced. 

Can Shelby keep it respectable at all? Or is this a district clock runner? 

This won't be a game. More time will be spent on the bus traveling to and from the game. Franklin is loaded and Shelby is searching for answers.

I believe Shelby County has forfeited the game.

I'll go out on a limb here and say Franklin County wins 1-0.

HC resigned, believe the interim coach wasn’t appointed until yesterday, and in all honesty what would either team gain from a running clock in the 1Q.

I guess I should have included this guy  in my post.

The word from a few close to the program and school, team is forfeiting the game because they know what the outcome would be and they are thinking about the safety of the kids.  Eddie James and the Flyers would try to see how bright that scoreboard can truly get.  FC was planning a blackout and had special shirts for the youth program teams to be recognized at the game.

The real losers here are those kids. The 7 year old who has been waiting all week to go watch his favorite player and get his free shirt. Shelby County’s leadership should be ashamed of pulling the rug on this at the 11th hour. Their administration is a joke and should all resign. This began when they fired Todd Shipley. Ship is a great coach and a better person. They then hired a moron who has give the program the proverbial pile driver even after he was fired. The kids in Shelbyville deserve better!!

@BigBird18 He had some good seasons at Larue County, what was the problem at Shelby County?

First two sentences are wild.  If they don’t reschedule that event for the kids then that is on Franklin County and not Shelby County.  It’s not that hard to make things right.

This is my question.  

The game was forfeit because the administration and AD did not feel like the team was mentally prepared for the game and they had safety concerns for the athletes.
