I had heard that Fitzgerald was close to returning.  He was the 3rd leading tackler last year.  Led the team with 20 TFLs and also had 3 sacks.

They also had another starting defensive lineman out the first game. Seem to hold up pretty well with a freshman and sophomore filling in for them.

Prediction:

PT  54

Mayfield  13

I’ve said it every week… NO ONE on PT’s regular season schedule can match up to this team.   
 

I look for PT leaving starters in for the majority of this game regardless of score.

The freshman group has a lot of talent in that class.Bright future ahead for them.

Call me crazy, but I think Mayfield has a shot here. PT is loaded with talent, but I watched their scrimmage at OC, and if they're playing QB live, you go to the 4th quarter in a very tight football game. Yes, it was a scrimmage, but it didn't have a scrimmage feel to it. Tilghman was visibly getting tired, so even though the wisdom says slow this game down, that's probably playing right into their hands. 

I really need to make one of these games.  Have to plan on it.  Know the atmosphere is great!

I have read several comments like this, people act like PT wouldn't have hit Atwell.

Was a running clock put on PT back in 2017 and 18 ? Mayfield won 47-14 and 51-27. Big victories are nothing new in this series.

Of course they would have - but he threw an INT on a play he for sure would have run. And OC was inside the 10 several times and Atwell is a huge part of their run game. I just feel that's a very tight game if QBs are live. Of course I could be wrong - just my opinion. I don't pretend to know it all. Hell, maybe PT beats OC by 40 if they played now. But I just don't see it.

I would say the same could be said about Jack James,I believe he was the second leading rusher last year. He also showed that he has moves to scramble and if nothing is open he will run it and lower his shoulder!

Definitely don't think PT would win by 40, OC has a great team as well. I would love to see the matchup. 

Both teams will come out ready to go for PT having Fitzgerald back will be big for them.

James did run in the scrimmage and it was touch or whistle blew as he was being approached. Atwell never crossed the line of scrimmage. 
 

now James never lowered his shoulder and that makes a huge difference. PT has a great team. Their defense is overshadowed by the offense.
