Must have been 4 good teams, anyone know off hand or care to dig that up for us?

Murray in 2021, Murray in 2020, McCracken in 2019 and McCracken in 2015.

That's from 2009-2023, which is the last 15 seasons.

Two great PT teams I have seen are the 1973 team and the 2003 team. The 73 team won a State title and beat Mayfield 50 something to nothing. The 2003 team had Joe Casey who is the best high school run

  • If Tilghman can cut back on offensive penalties. I think they could possibly have the most explosive offense in the state. I could see a 48-14 type score in favor of Tilghman.

McCracken won 2015 37-31 in overtime

McCracken won in 2019 45-35

Murray won in 2020 28-21 in triple overtime in the playoffs

Murray won in 2021 25-21

Interesting, thanks for the research.

The 2003 team had Joe Casey who is the best high school running back I’ve seen in person. Plus Hunter Cantwell who was a great quarterback and a host of other good players. They also handle Mayfield easily that season. I’ll hold judgment on this team until I’ve seen them play in person.

Does anyone know how many Holdings PT had on Friday?  It was easily in double digits.

I quit counting after 10, not a lot more, but double digits for sure. Overall had to be in the 15-17 range easily for penalties.

Tilghman wins big, but it won’t be 61-7.

Who was the Defensive player from Mayfield that got hurt?

Game will be closer I feel like. Still taking PT offensively they are firing on all cylinders and defense is scrappy too.

Ian Williams. Have not heard a definite word on his injury yet.

Hope his injury isn’t serious with him being a senior.

Give me Paducah Tilghman by 20. I haven’t loved what I’ve seen from the Cardinals’ special teams this year. Special teams don’t lose games but they sure as hell can win games.

I’ve seen plenty of teams at all levels of football lose games because of special teams.

If true, it will be more than a 20-point loss if Mayfield doesn't shore up the special teams.
