2024 NBA Playoffs

Great come from behind win for my Celtics last night. They just kept grinding and making plays. Defense and toughness. Big road win as the Pacers had won 11 home games in a row. I believe they said last night no team has come back from down 0-3 to win a conference finals series.

People keep making the comment that the Celtics are getting some luck with their playoff opponents losing key players to injury. But they don't talk about the Celtics being without their #3 Porzingis the entire playoffs.

  • Update. It was awesome.

  • This morning I bought tickets for game 2 of the Suns/Wolves series.

  • Not sure I’ve ever seen as dramatic of back-to-back games as I just witnessed. To start, the Knicks overcame a Jordan flu type game type performance from Tyrese Maxey by reeling off eight points in ab

Big difference in the #1 franchise player on a roster and #3 (Porzingis is probably #4 or #5 for the Celts). The Cs still have two All NBA starters and multiple all defensive NBA players before getting to KP. Having him is just a luxury.

Celtics are making the plays to get these wins and mostly on defense. Another come from behind win to take the series 4-0. Celtics held the Pacers without a point the last 3:33 of the game.

I actually thought the Pacers were going to pull this one out, credit to the Celts.

Pacers had a 90+ percent chance to win late in games 1, 3 and 4.  They’re not quite ready for the big time yet, especially without Halliburton on the floor.

This make or break time for the Mavs. Luka has got to get some help, so far Irving has been a no show.

It really is or are looking at the el sweepo.

Sports are all about matchups. It is easy for me to say this now, but the Wolves and Nuggets are better matchups for the Celtics. The Wolves did not match up at all with Dallas. Denver has not matched up well with Minnesota for a couple of years. I am still not counting out the Mavericks, but it is does not look good.

Dallas doesn't have enough after Luka and Kyrie for Boston. And Kyrie has not delivered so far.

I originally thought Dallas would win in six. Now I think Boston wins in five.

3-0 Celtics.

It is hard to get into any of these games.

Especially when you have to watch the Luka whine fest. Baller of the highest caliber, but the dude is unbearable to watch at times. He cost the Mavs five crucial points in consecutive possessions with his foul-hunting antics.

Lindhorst blew Luka up after the game for his whining. Amazing how fast the opinions can flip on a player almost game by game when you get to these late playoff series.

A lot of that is because the NBA gets more viewers later in the playoffs exposing him to a larger audience. But this has been Luka for a few years; last night was egregiously bad given the magnitude.
