2024 NKY Frosh Football Scores & Rankings

Beechwood 13 Moeller B 7

At halftime, no score.

Beechwood scores on the opening drive of the second half to lead 7-0

With 3:23 left, Moeller at their own 6 yard line executes a perfect hook and ladder play, 94 yards for the score. Game tied at 7.

Beechwood next possession forced to punt. Then #24 Kayden Sautter intercepts a Moeller pass and returns it to the 15. With 0:43 to go, QB Kellen Siemer hits Calvin Burkhardt for a 15 yard score, XP no good.

Tigers win!

And just two short years ago these kids were pretty much written off.  Showed progress last year and it has continued.  Guess that is what happens when coaches teach them the game and how it is played

Cov Cath 42 Dixie Heights 14

Cov Cath led 21-0 at the end of the 1Q and 42-0 at the half. I believe Dixie's offense had negative yardage in the first half. I know they never made it across midfield. The Red Colonels' starters scored on the Blue Colonels' 2s and 3s, who played the whole second half.

Still need to find out what happened in the Ryle at Conner game. But based on Conner's 2-6 record, it's pretty safe to assume that Ryle won.

So working from the assumption that Ryle did in fact beat Conner, that makes the final season standings look like this:

1. Highlands (8-1)
2. Covington Catholic (8-1)
3. Ryle (7-2)
4. Simon Kenton (5-4)
5. Campbell County (4-5)
6. Beechwood (4-5)
7. Cooper (3-6)
8. Conner (2-7)
9. Dixie Heights (1-8)

Campbell County presumably is sitting in 5th place over Beechwood right now since they beat the Tigers 14-12 back in the first game of the season. But we can assume that we'll see where things stand between those two at this point in the season in the 5th/6th Place Consolation Game in the Championship Series. The first game was awfully close to begin with, and Campbell County has dropped 4 of their last 5 games, whereas Beecwhood has won 3 of their last 5.

I still haven't been able to find any reported score from the Ryle vs. Conner game that was scheduled for last Thursday. I'm suspect that the game may not have happened because it looks like now instead of playing Conner in the 7th/8th place game in the Championship Series on Oct 30th, Cooper has scheduled to play Dixie Heights on Oct 30th.

@StraightShooter, any chance you can ask around about the Ryle/Conner game?

Does anyone know if Conner may have possibly thrown in the towel on their freshman season after their game against Highlands on Oct 17th?

Thanks for that...Ryle has been pretty on top of things reporting their freshman scores on Arbiter and MaxPreps, both. Either that, or all of their previous opponents have always been on top of it, haha. I don't think Conner is yet to report a single one, but I've usually been able to dig those up after their opponent has reported it or from somewhere on Twitter. Conner and Campbell County have definitely been tough to keep track of.
