Absolutely. That's why he's the bonafide GOAT, which, if I'm Alabama and I'm obviously not, nor could imagine NOT thinking this way....but, if they compare the next hire as looking for the "closest to

  • Funny thing about football, especially coaches. A guy like Swinney goes 9-4 and it's the first year he's had less than ten wins in several years and he's finished. I would think Alabama contacts him.

I'm thinking Kiffen is high on the list. Kirby ain't coming. Dabo not as hot as he looked 4 years ago.

Who else will be considered?

Kiffin is a good possibility. What about Lanning from Oregon? SEC experience. Swinney is probably going to be in the SEC one way or the other. He's pretty comfortable financially at Clemson, but when Momma calls you have to listen!!

Kiffen is certainly a possibility.  At this point I really don't know who it will be.

I think Dabo has been exposed, as soon as he lost long term coaches...they struggled.

Not a big fan of any of those guys for the job.  Have to feel like Alabama knew this day wasn't far off.

Twitter of course has Urban Meyer trending right now.  I feel like his best years are behind him though and think that's just expected any time a big position opens up.

If Dabo has any desire to coach at Bama, this is likely his only shot.

I hope they don't go that way.

They will obviously have an elite group to pick from, but Dabo is definitely high on that list

Smart was my first thought.  Kiffin was my second.  I don't see it being Dabo.

I don't know why he is other than he went to Alabama. He hates NIL, hates the portal and taking transfers. Was lucky to keep all of his key assistants together and put together a very strong run. As assistants have left the losses keep creeping up.

Dabo needs to milk his time at Clemson and the ACC, for everything he can get out of it.

Kirby ain't leaving for Bama, the Falcons maybe, but not Bama.

Probably not.  His was just the first name that came to mind.  I do think Alabama will make him say no.
