Oof. That happened to me back in 2020. My kid's first Bengals game ever was the Cowboys right after Burrow got hurt. That was rough.

As far as tanking goes, the draft is too much of a crap shoot to justify losing intentionally. Just try to be competitive this year and hopefully we can ruin the season for the Steelers and Chiefs.

I'm not a Bengals fan but hate this for all the Bengal backers on here and wish Joe a full recovery.

I asked in the game thread Will Joe B “Be a case of what could’ve been”. And some took it as a slight to him. Joe B has had zero protection from day one. 146 sacks, just sacks not hits also, in 51 games is eventually going to catch up to you. 

2024 means a healthy Burrow and, potentially, a top 10 draft pick.

A la Tim Couch? God I hope not, but this organization has proven incapable of adequately protecting their best player.

They do think this injury happened on the play before the TD, Clowney knocks him to the ground after the pass and falls on him, I went back and watched it, the wrist did look awkward 

Burrow is a player and anyone tagging him as injury prone is barking up the wrong tree.  The Bengals do have some serious work to do on continuing to shore up their offensive line.  They have made significant improvements however Volson continues to underperform.

Just saw this, everybody talks about how bad Andrew Luck got beat up and it shortened his career.

Times sacked:

Andrew Luck in 55 games- 115 times.                   
Joe Burrow in 52 games- 148 times

I think the organization has tried to fix the line the last two years. Bengals signed and paid free agents Karas, Cappa, Brown. Jonah was a first round pick. Used a second round pick on Carman. Another draft pick on Volson. Bengals currently pay the 6th most money in NFL on the Oline. So at this point it’s not that they aren’t trying to invest in the line. At this point I think they have to make a change with the Oline coach. They have put different pieces on the line and it’s still an issue. So I think they have to stop being loyal and make a change there. Pollack was also the Oline coach when they drafted Billy Price in first round. So his evaluations of lineman and his coaching is simply not cutting it. You have to try to make a change there. 
 

Also I wouldn’t compare it to Tim Couch. Couch simply wasn’t a good pro QB. Burrow had had success in the league, even while getting beat up every week.

I find it troubling that we have invested so much in this line and have very little to show for it. Williams is likely gone after this year, and Volson/Cappa have taken a decent step back this year. In the last 15 years we have basically only drafted 2 starting caliber linemen, Williams in '19 and Zeitler in '12. We HAVE to start drafting better on the o-line.

The crazy thing is the bengals use to be really good at drafting lineman. However, even since they completely missed in the 2015 draft when they took two tackles in the first two rounds, they have struggled in that area. Which at least in regard to recent history, I put a lot of the failure on the line struggling now on the line coach. Zero reason for them to still be this bad.

Agree completely, they have tried, but it’s obviously not getting the results we have to have, so again, I agree, I think you have to start with Pollack, as I said before, good O line coaches just do not get fired as many times as he has

Volson PFF pass pro grade- 28.7 - ranked 78th out of 83 guards - I said Volson needed to be replaced earlier in the year and got ripped for it

Also, PFF has Bengals O line ranked as the least athletic in NFL

This injury is going to tell us a lot about Zac Taylor. With this roster, a good coach would be able to work around this injury and still win 3 games or so.
