Scotties Look To Break Some Harts

Teaser Preview: The Raiders ride into Glasgow with the state's #1 rushing offense and a sterling zero in the loss column. 

The Scotties have allowed just 94 yards per game on the ground, but did surrender a season high 205 last week to Franklin-Simpson, a team with which Hart County shares a kindred offensive philosophy. 

Glasgow hopes to do to Hart County what Franklin-Simpson did to the Scotties two weeks ago: banish them from the realm of the undefeated. 

A win for the Raiders sets up a massive showdown in Franklin with the Wildcats for an outright district title next week, but Hart County can't afford to get caught looking ahead.

Could go either way. Giving a slight edge to Glasgow at home.

If Glasgow receivers catch the ball and they can protect the football I think they win if they don’t then they will not. When they don’t drop the ball they are very effective in the pass game but they’ve had two games where it seemed like the ball was covered in glass. The first was the Barren game and the second was the FS game and that was their worst two games of the season. We know Hart is going to run and get theirs you just have to hold them a little and out score them. Unfortunately that might be easier said than done. I’m going with Glasgow 34-30.

This is a really big game. If Glasgow loses, they're all but assured the #3 seed. If Glasgow wins, next week's Hart/Franklin game could have playoff implications for all three teams. I think whichever team is the three seed would still be favored in the first round of the playoffs, but I'd much prefer a home game to a road game in round one.

Not so fast my friend! The three seed has to travel to McLean County I wouldn’t be so fast to count out Coach Zach Wagner and the Cougs! Going to Paulsen Stadium in the playoffs will be a tall task for anyone!

Agreed. Solid team and really difficult place to play. I’d still probably call the District 2 team the favorite but it would be a great game. 

It all depends on what Glasgow team shows up. Scottie staff needs to have their guys ready to play.

If what I saw last week against Franklin and in the Barren Co game shows up:

Hart by 14

I think good Glasgow shows up and wins this one by a touchdown. 

I'm for Hart County so I can see the graphic they put after the game.

Their social media graphics are always pretty cool. 

Glasgow has the athletes to win big but I think Hart is the overall better team. This is an interesting match up for sure.

If glasgow can go without dropping passes they have a good chance pulling away at the end. Glasgow is so unpredictable. Hart has been Hart all yeah consistently. Paper says Hart by 2 touchdowns. I'm gonna pick Glasgow in a nail bitter. I think they gonna show up and play tonight.
