Bracketology 1-17

Here is a sentence from ESPN:

"Florida, Alabama and Tennessee are no-brainers at this point, but somewhat surprisingly, Kentucky's overall profile (No. 5 RPI, No. 4 SOS) makes the underrated Cats a lock, too."

At 15-3, they are surprisingly a lock.

Suprising their RPI is 5 and SOS is 4. A lot of people would not know that outside of the Bluegrass.

They only know what ESPN tells them.

We would'nt have this problem if ESPN would ever show any other teams besides Duke.

Like I said before, ESPN is clueless.

I have no problems with ESPN of FSN on Sunday Nights :thumb:

If this was the real thing, it would be cool to see my two favorite schools do battle in the second round. Kentucky and Oregon!

JMO but I think that is a little early for "bracketology".

I think they might have spoiled that the other night on national television.

Not to take anything away from their win, but Im pretty sure everybody already knew USC was terrible...Before the UK game, their two SEC losses were by an average of 29 points...

Va. Tech at a #4? Clemson with a #4?

And for the love of all things holy and sacred, how can an unranked (and only receiving 17 of 168 needed votes for the polls) Boston College team get a #5 seed?

I agree, my friend. Garbage.

Va. Tech is really hard to stomach. Fortunately, they'll be moving down I'm sure after they lost to FSU last night. Here's the analysis:

Virginia Tech

The Hokies will need to stay in the ACC top three to keep a seed this high. And, while that may or may not be possible, VaTech's recent achievements must be recognized.

Why seeded here?

3-0 ACC starts with wins over Duke and Carolina.

May change because:

Will be an underdog Wednesday at 0-3 Florida State.

Good Wins

RPI 1-25: @Duke, North Carolina

RPI 26-50: Appalachian State

Bad Losses

RPI 101-200: N-Western Michigan, @Marshall

RPI 201+: None

Clemson is not so hard to take, but FWIW they'll probably drop as well. Their analysis:

Clemson

The story isn't so much that the Tigers finally lost. The real question is how they will react with UNC and BC coming to town.

Why seeded here?

InsideRPI No. 11; NonConf RPI No. 27.

May change because:

The next two weeks will tell us if Clemson belongs among the elite.

Good Wins

RPI 1-25: @Florida State

RPI 26-50: Appalachian State, Georgia Tech

Bad Losses

RPI 101-200: None

RPI 201+: None

Truthfully, the sweetest thing about this projection? UConn out of it and LSU at #8. Two schools that were all about downing UK.

Not to take anything away from their win, but Im pretty sure everybody already knew USC was terrible...Before the UK game, their two SEC losses were by an average of 29 points...

:thumb: Way to take something away form UK's win.

UK will be a higher seed then a #6 seed I can assure you of that!!!

Not to take anything away from their win, but Im pretty sure everybody already knew USC was terrible...Before the UK game, their two SEC losses were by an average of 29 points...

Bet USC could beat the Cards.

Not to take anything away from their win...

That's not taking anything away from UK, it's the truth. S. Carolina is an awful team, period, end of story. While the margin of victory was pretty impressive, a 15+ win was expected by most....

Bet USC could beat the Cards.

I'd take that bet, no way the Gamecocks beat UofL right now.
