Series History: First ever meeting, obvs

The skinny on Warren: Taken mostly from a pre-season thread - The Bears produced five star quarterback and current Tennessee Volunteer Nico Iamaleava. Younger brother Madden Iamaleava (nearly 400 passing yards and four touchdowns last week) assumes control of the offense and already holds offers from the likes of Washington, Auburn, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. He'll have two FBS targets in receivers Jordan Ross (Colorado State commit who had 236 receiving yards last week) and Jace Brown (Nevada). Edge rusher JT Houston could join Ross at Colorado State. Wofo's biting off a lot here, but respect to them for taking on the challenge. The Jackets got in the win column last week against WEB DuBois. 

I just wonder what compels a team like Warren to travel to Versailles and play this game. This isn't nationally known program like Trinity or a perennial powerhouse like Boyle or Freddy D. It has to be incredibly expensive to travel this far.

It's something about the connection between the Tennesee quarterback and his little brother. Something to do with Tennessee supporters,  and some type of promoter coordinating this as a way to further entice the younger brother to commit to UT. 

Initially,  the game was to be played at Neyland but that fell through. Whoever is footing the bill said they will just come to Versailles and play, and at some point before or after this game, the Warren team is to be hosted in Knoxville by the promoter guy.

This may sound like a tall tale, but this is why the California team is coming.

Looking at Calpreps, Warren is around 33 pts better than Woodford Co. I would think traveling across the country might wear on them some so maybe Warren by 28. 

They are likely  2 TDS better than anyone in the state of Kentucky.
