  • If you can't make it to Union, hope you can make it to our broadcast as we will be live on (859) Sports Radio for this huge crosstown rivalry.

  • I expect a Cooper win, probably by a couple of TDs.  If Ryle wins I think it is a combination of Ryle being better than "we" think and Cooper not being as good as "we" think.

Cooper visits Ryle in another Union backyard battle in front of a big crowd. I see a close game decided late as Cooper tries to break their 8-game losing streak. Neither team winning would surprise me. Some fun players to watch on both teams. Should be a beautiful evening for Friday night lights.

I will be watching, thanks again @859Radio!

I like Cooper in this one.

In the series since Cooper was opened, half of the games have been close, including the last 2 years, and half of the games decided by 3 touchdowns or more. Raiders have been on the winning end of 7 of the 8 games that were not highly competitive for 4 quarters. I look for a repeat of the last two years in a game that could go either way. Some solid playmakers on both squads and good QB play. Like most close games - turnovers, big plays, and special teams determine the winner. I’ve been privileged to watch each of the 16 games in person. Both teams always seem prepared and disciplined, which is a tribute to coaches and players in a hotly contested rivalry.

I’ll be watching on 859 Sports, as long as you keep the announcing to facts, unless it offends a rooter for another school then I don’t know what I’ll do. Also don’t dare say anything positive about a player that may have held the door open for you on your way into a gas station 3 years ago.

You all do a great job and this one should be a very competive game. Good luck to both teams.

I'll take Ryle in a close one.

Really does feel like Coopers game to lose here. If the Jaguars are reading their press clippings a bit too much, some teams can struggle early with new success.
