Kentucky ranked #25 in AP Poll

Featured Replies

Duke.

Oh okay in that case, that's exactly how they're rated that high. I didn't say that isn't the way the polls DO work, I said that isn't the way the polls SHOULD work. They SHOULD be about this season only.

DUKE gets the same love in BB that ND gets in FB.

Some observations:

When are the pollsters going to stop pimping Marquette?

Duke only slides 3 spots to #14? Makes me sick.

A 12-4 LSU at #16 in the polls?

Texas A&M, Air Force, Nevada, Alabama and Clemson are all overranked.

Butler in my opinion is ranked really high also! They had a week early in the season when they couldn't be stopped or beat but, they are not playing anyone and barely winning. The Horizon will not produce much come March!

They're still getting credit for their win against Kansas or whomever they beat way back when.

That was Oral Roberts.

Butler beat IU, Gonzaga, Notre Dame, and UT in the preseason NIT.

Thank goodness...I was tired of the whining...

Didn't they beat someone decent in the tourney a year or two ago? Now that I think about it I don't think it was Kansas. But that's what I was reffering to, I think it may have been back in 03 even.

While they've done close to nothing since, those are starting to shape up as 4 very good resume wins.

I am not sure about KU.

A few years ago they beat Mississippi State and I believe UL to make to the Sweet 16.

In 2000 they lost the heartbreaker to Florida when Mike Miller hit the buzzer beater.

They have traditionally been one of the better mid-major teams in recent memory.

No doubt. And although they may not be great in the long run, their current resume stacks up well with most.

The state of Indiana always puts together good basketball teams. Anyone remember Bryce Drew and Valpo?

You know what else I can't believe? In the coach's poll, UCONN is only 4 votes away from still being ranked. Jim Calhoun must bully all the other coaches into voting UCONN.

Polls are for the fans, with UK back in the top 25, it gives us fans something to talk about at work. Go Cats just keep on climbing up.

This is very true those teams are way over ranked espically Air Force but o well atleast UK is in the top 25 next goal is the top 20

Hopefully the Cats are in the Top 25 to stay, and continue winning and moving up. I still feel they are slightly underrated, but it is good to be under the radar.
