The Saints seem destined to get to the SB. The Bears are quickly falling apart and are truly lucky to even be in this game.

I believe New Orleans will win this game. Chicago should have lost against the Seahawks, but Hasselback made sure that the Bears were going to win.

WOW, we are now up to 28-14 New Orleans.

 

I will be anxious to see if the media is the same way as the week goes on. There is a column by Gene and I refuse to try and spell his last name that essentially rips the Bears and makes fun of them. Granted I will give him credit for the first remark in the piece, it was rather funny. lol The column is on ESPN.com for those who might want to read it.

 

In any case, New Orleans is a great team and deserve to be here. Let's not forget that they ran up a bunch of rushing yards against the 2nd worst team against the run in the league.

 

For the season New Orleans has averaged 25 points a game and given up 20.

 

They have given up 30 points 4 times, one time in the meaningless Carolina finale.

 

Everyone wants to talk about Chicago's defense and yes it has looked absolutely horrific at times, but let's not forget that the Saints aren't the second coming of the Ravens here. They will give up A BUNCH of points.

 

As with any game or any sport, it's going to come down to turnovers to determine who moves on.

Sorry, but I'm not seeing the Saints as dead lock to win at Chicago. Everyone is knocking the Bears for an OT victory against the defending NFC champion...beating the Seahawks was not an easy task, nor should anyone have expected it to be. But, I dare say, it was a more impressive victory than beating the overachieving, Jeff Garcia-lead Philadelphia Eagles. It's not like the Saints dominated that game...they got all they wanted.

 

I'm far from sold on the Bears, but the Saints are a flawed team themselves. The Saints are a domed team that will be travelling to Chicago in January...history has proven that to be favorable for the home team.

I hope the Bears win this one. Bush is get a SB championship before it's over anyway. Urlacher is losing his opportunities.

Saints must be super aggressive and force the Chicago QB to rush passes etc. If they can do this..... The Saints will win. Chicago TO's raise temperature of fans blood.....

Chi-town gets my vote. I'd like to see the Saints win though.

Chicago's D is overrated, if Seattle's receivers could catch then it would have been a different ending.

 

If the Saints can get an early lead and force Grossman to throw, the game will be a blowout in Chicago.

I'm not trying to say that this is true, but...

 

After 9/11, the Patriots won the Superbowl, which was obviously a helpful aspect to that area, in a sports kind of way.

 

After Katrina, the Saints are now able to make it to the Superbowl, which would be helpful to that area too, in a sports kind of way.

 

Now, I'm not saying that the NFL is fixing this stuff so these teams win, but I think that New Orleans, who was the second worst team last year, will make it to the Superbowl and probably win, and I don't think that the Saints and the Patriots both making it to Superbowls after a disaster is a coincidence...
