I had a bunch of fans around me wanting an intentional foul on Pouncy on the play he was injured on. To me he looked like he was going for a block. Very exciting game, Cooper tried to let Highlands pull away late in the game but Highlands just couldn’t. Overtime was exciting as well and the game essentially ended on the most bizarre over and back I’ve ever seen.

Highlands has the game in hand late 4th. Then turned it over, missed a couple ft’s, and a couple guys fired up quick, ill advised shots. Time and situation are crucial. Someone sitting by me said, “that’s how they play!”
 

Ok, it’s still dumb and poor coaching if the coach encourages those type of plays at the end of the game. I don’t care how many wins you have. You’ve got the ball and the lead just over a minute left and within 5 seconds a guy throws up a 3 that maybe hasn’t taken but a shot or 2 all night. Wasn’t the same guy, but  it happened 2x!  Why!!! Highlands led the entire 2nd half and then to me they panicked because it got close at the end of regulation.

I'm not sure that he is. The folks who I talked to from the Cooper camp seem to think he's unlikely for the semifinal game against Cov Cath game on Sunday.

It did not look good. Right knee. Came back to the bench for a few minutes late in the game with a brace on his knee. Had each arm on the shoulders of the guys who helped him walk to the bench and then from the bench and back to the locker room. I will be surprised if Pouncy plays any time soon.

I get it. Just felt like the game was in hand with a bit more guidance. 

I think the big difference last night was the fact that Vinson just couldn't buy a bucket on his drives to the rack.  He has been great mostly all year doing that.  Last night was just one of the those night that there was a lid on the basket that kept the ball from falling.  I just checked KHSAA scoreboard to see if the stats were uploaded and they weren't.  When they are, its going to show an ugly percentage for Nathan.  Kudos to Cooper's "D" on those drives too, a lot of them were heavily challenged, I know Listerman was always raising his hands that Vinson was fouled but they were not getting the calls, letting it play.

That might have been the best first half I have ever seen Seth Ryan play...he was unstoppable, I think he had 21 points maybe at the break.  It's unfortunate that he might be thinking more of how the game ended for him than how it started b/c that was one outstanding half of ball he showcased in the 1st.

Birds should keep their head up, they played hard all year long.  

I am very proud of these guys!

Great careers for Seth and Will!!!  They have been fun to watch develop and grow their game from the Middle School stage to Rupp Arena!
