I think the bottom line is this: you guys have all clearly led more perfect lives than most and are more comfortable convicting people to a life of labels for making a mistake. Good for you, I'm happy for you. I'm not so fortunate, and have had the benefit of people forgiving me -- so I guess I'm trying to look at things differently.

There's alot of people who are Chad Johnson bashers because of his brash, cocky style and that's fine. But the Merriman situation involved illegal drugs, in my opinion, comparing CJ's pepto joke to the Taylor/Merriman incident, isn't fair to CJ.

I am not sure of the particulars of Shawn Merrimans case but I do know that there are 1000 or more substances that are considered performance enhancing, when I was in college we could not take claritin becuase it had ephedrine in it, so he could not have been on roids.

He was given a specific list of approved supplements that he could take...He chose to take one (without checking to see if it was ok), that was not on that list....CHEATER.
