Final a terrible game by the Cats all the way around. They game up 42 in the first half and 46 in the 2nd half. Hey at least we have Louisville on Saturday surely we can still beat them. This will I think be the first time that if the football and basketball team are playing at the same time I am going to watch the football team.

That was ugly! No defending this performance. That was bad!

This team is going to struggle to even MAKE the NCAA tournament, much less win a game, we’re going to lose a bunch of conference games, just can’t get over how much more other teams look prepared to play than we do!!!!

The guys I was playing cards with while the game was on say it's time for some Pike County folks to come to Lexington with suitcases of money.

No "tweak" is going to fix this team. They need an actual, cohesive offense.  It does Cal no good to get experienced players from the transfer portal if he's not going to use that experience and actually run an offense outside of 3 guys running a handoff line at the top of the key while one works from the post to the free throw line and the 5th stands outside the 3pt line on the ring and hopes his defender forgets about him.  

As @16thBBall Fan said, this team will struggle to make the tournament, let alone make a run. Honestly, I'll be surprised if they go better than 11-7 in league games. It's a shame, I was really excited about this year.

It's going to bug me if I don't correct it, but they gave up 47 in the second half.

Ridiculous, just plain and very evident. Administration has to make a move, buyout or pay out, whatever you want to call it, this thing is out of control and has been for a long time, it’s in their lap this morning hot and heavy!!

Lost the first game and won the last seven, one of them was a lay-down moon shot.   Three reasons for last night’s success. 
 

A. For the most part I got pretty good cards. 
 

2.  Extraordinary play on my part.  Made a bunch of bids even without the Rook.  No brag, just fact.  I can play. 
 

D.  Our two opponents are rabid UK hoops fans (I don’t know why) and they spent a lot of the evening moaning and groaning about the game. I sat with my back to the TV as always when UK is playing.  A decided advantage for Team Good Guys. 

The Missouri head coach changed defensive schemes throughout the entire game and made Ky and Cal look silly. Turnover after turnover on each defensive change, why can’t Ky do this? Out of bounds plays underneath our basket nonexistent, having to throw the ball into the back court just to get the ball inbounded. Just the slightest bit of coaching by Cal could make a world of difference. But guess what, isn’t going to happen.

Someone said not long ago that a real  concern for the coach and and the program is apathy. 

The most infuriating plays were the lapses, especially on the defensive end. Talking the run-outs when Wheeler doesn't get back and just general lethargy. If those alone were done away with, UK is in a position to win. That doesn't fall on Calipari for not "coaching" that.... hell, that is basketball 101 stuff anyone that has played organized basketball should know. It does fall on Calipari for not getting his team to respond to him and the moment (i.e. not being ready to play).

Disregard for hustle and playing defense falls directly on the head coach, who else could you blame? Kids will do exactly what they can get by with, if you can get a pass for not playing defense and hustling on every single play, I don’t blame the lackluster play by the kids. Defense isn’t played in the NBA so Cal pays no attention to that. Thus Ky basketball is a meaningless thing to Ky players.
