Expected. I knew the hooplah that the Greenwood folk were spewing this week in town was nothing but fools gold. 
 

If you thought Greenwood had a shot, you were quite literally just kidding yourself.

Can’t speak on that because I didn’t get to see the game myself. But just from following along it went about as I expected in terms of the scoreboard. 

No surprise here. BG had a TD called back and three bad turnovers or it would have been a lot worse.

Anyone that pays any attention to schedules and have seen these teams play knew this would not be a game. 
 

The Greenwood defenders come out after beating a bunch of lower class teams and think they have a shot.  Every year they don’t. It’s all fools gold.

I don’t believe they have a shot at beating South Warren either. It may not be a blow out, I don’t believe Greenwood will ever be a threat to win.

Final score is about what most people thought. I’m happy for the Purples. 
 

But……

 

As a Purples fan, let me give credit where credits is due. Lofton Howard, Mr Everything for Gators is real deal. Best player on the field tonight.

Purples need to just run ball next week at Christian County, get up 3 scores and start subbing as quickly as possible. 
 

Purples (because of Howard) played extremely sloppy tonight. An ugly win is still a win. Go Purples!

It’s a joke that Woodford was ranked over BG last week.  It will be worse if they are still ranked over them next week.

Absolutely. It would definitely help them if they did it right. Heck if they just actually played teams from their own class would help. But they probably wouldn’t be able to pump their chest about their record.

I didn't get to see this one first hand.  But got updates throughout the game.

But it should tell you something for me not going to this game.  It says I wasn't worried about it.

I DO think Greenwood is a good team and they are better than they were last year.

But when you've seen the same movie 33 times, you kinda know how this is going to end.

I will say it a zillionth time; Greenwood is the best 3rd place team in any 5A district and perhaps in any district in the state.  More than that; I don't think so.

They will be! All the rankings logic expressed this week on the board says they stay #2 until they lose!

He single-handedly kept them in the game for 2 1/2 qtrs. The pick he had was top 10 worthy. If I’m not mistaken, he might have caused the 2nd BG fumble as well. He is legit. I hope he gets the statewide postseason recognition he deserves.

Yes , it would make them bigger and faster to beat BG. Just stop with this stuff.
